After 25 years these songs randomly popped into my mind and I couldn’t for the life of me remember where they were from. After thinking about it for hours I vaguely remembered something about playing a game based in the desert and arab people walking around. Watching Dune the other night with the awesome Hans Zimmer score I felt reminded of this gem of game-music. Very similar chord progression and harmony. I wonder who composed this score and where they'd gotten their ideas from...

"Thank god", another puzzle piece added to my life story - to those music from my chilchood/teenage I have know and love (PIHKAL analogy .-) ) Remember playing this song in night on weekend and then listened cassette in my walkman when going to college. amen :-) Shame that track 5 is not here in "calm" mode, those "battle" mode songs are not so good.
Where are the modern Magic Carpet clones? Virtually all games like FPS, strategy, 4X, etc have loads of clones and sequels and yet Magic Carpet was a fantastic idea for a game but it only got like a couple of games and that was it. I'd love to see a modern Magic Carpet clone, maybe one that was massively multiplayer.
