I have been doing lives for a couple months but struggled with being able to see the comments or who’s watching on my computer and phone. I just did it with my phone- so thank you. Just did it on a Mac book I borrowed- though I couldn’t see who was viewing. Where do I see who’s viewing so I can welcome them?
I started running into sync issues with audio and image with FB Live Producer in Chrome. (using MacBook) It was so bad I stopped using my Mac for FB Live. Have you tried using FB Portal for live streaming? I like the camera quality of the Portal mini for calls, but when I tried to stream it, the image got very pixelated with movement. Any idea if the Portal Mini vs. larger Portal would make any difference?
Do you have input for setting up a fb live on an iPad Pro? I have a computer but it is too old, and the steps you are giving here are no longer available through Facebook
Hi Nick from Regina, Saskatchewan! Awesome video! Question: Is it possible during a livestream event to cut to a pre-recorded video and then back to the livestream? Or do you have a video tutorial on how to do this? Many thanks and keep up the GREAT WORK! :-)
Really great and helpful video - for someone about to livestream for the first time. But... just as you get to the section I really want to make sense of your video has muzac in the background for several minutes from about 8.40. I find it almost impossible to take it in with background sound so I found that really uncomfortable - but then it stopped at 12.13 (much relief) so I'm thinking it probably isn't something you added, it's a bit random.
Great video bro, how to premier a PRE recorded video on facebook page using iphone please? Can’t find that feature for months been searching!!! Thanks in advance
This was great thank you so much. I have been live streaming our church service to my church facebook page just using my phone, an external mic and a tripod while projecting the service on power point slides on the wall. it is cumbersome, but has been working. We are moving to OBS in hopes of connecting zoom presentation and facebook live stream and just creating an overall better quality stream. Also we are upgrading our set up and getting a new camera and a new computer or 2. I look forward to watching your other videos to get more insight on how we can continue to improve... Thanks Hannah! Glad you found it useful. When using Facebook Live Producer you are not able to switch between screen share and camera once you're live. If you stop sharing your screen you can't switch to the camera. Of course with a third party switcher you'd be able to.
Great videos, thank you! I am following along and I dont have the three button tab on the top right of the video to choose audience restriction or donation button. The problem I had with my lives from my desktop mac was no one was able to join... Do you know anything about that?

Hi Nick! thank you for this video! question- if I schedule (from a desktop) an online EVENT and put it under "Facebook Live" format... Could I then just go live from my phone? Nick, thank you so much for this tutorial. I've been going LIVE on Facebook as a psychic and a Medium daily for several years. However, when FB came up with the Live Producer version, my 'eye' viewer counter disappeared so that I can no longer see how many people are viewing during the Live broadcast. I'm using a windows 10 PC and I love my logictech webcam (aren't they just the best). I've reached out to Facebook on numerous occasions without any response. Do YOU know how I can get that back? I would deeply appreciate knowing how many people I'm talking to at one time. A lot of my fans don't want to necessarily comment - they prefer to sit back and listen. But there are times when I have to wonder if I'm simply talking to myself. LOL Have a blessed and awesome day.
Thanks for the video Nick. Could you kindly explain how I can invite people to watch my livestream when I am already live streaming. I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you.
Share it. Let people know when you’re going to be live either by scheduling your live stream or just posting the time you’ll be live. Share on other social media channels, etc. Best way is to have a consistent weekly show. Same day same time each week and let people know that.
Thanks for your prompt response. I used invite people by clicking the plus symbol on the top right angle where you can see people online with you but since Facebook changed the interface l couldn’t find the sign again. I thought that it is hidden somewhere. Thanks anyways. 👍
Hey, Nick. Thanks for the video. One thing to note though, is that there is no settings icon for Android. You cannot flip the screen on Android if you are using the front/selfie camera. Pretty frustrating.
@@npalkowski Yes but that feature is not available. Also, on Android, you cannot do live at all from the m.facebook.com mobile site using the Chrome Browser. AND, when using the Android FB app, you do not have the option of requiring comments to be approved before they get posted.

You are correct. You can schedule. Then go into Facebook.com/Live/Producer and click on the Upcoming Stream tab. You'll then use "Camera" and not stream key. The one thing to keep in mind is that the camera in the new Live Producer only works on the Chrome Beta browser.

Nick. Just saw your video. I need your help. I do a Facebook live music event every Thursday. Had I have guest on each week. The first few time ,I invited guest it worked perfect. What I usually do is, I sing a few songs, then invite our special guest in. Well last week, I was in a panic, my guest was Tony Orlando. My icons did not come up on bottom of screen to approve him as a guest. Nor, could I add him in as a guest. His name was no where to be found to add him in. Everyone name appeared but his. We even tried his daughter name on Facebook. I saw she was on my live event, she was able to post stuff. But , could not add them. He wind up FaceTiming us on a phone and we turned him around to our screen. It was so frustrating. After show was over., and I went back in just to try again, and all icons came up. Not sure what I am doing wrong. It’s all on my phone. Can you help. Michelle Parto.
hi i do live selling on groups earlier but im so confused my buyers can't comment on my live selling.. can you teach me what to do?? im so greatful if your gonna teach me..
You mean going live directly from Facebook with a webcam? That can be a great option no matter the size of your audience. Really the big difference will be when you want to increase the production quality of your FB live stream. Then you'll need to upgrade to a third party software like ecamm, or vMix.
I did my first facebook live today for my sons hockey game. no spectators were aloud in to watch due to new Covid-19 rules. It was going great until facebook block the video do to copyrights on the music they were playing in between the whistles. Alot of unhappy parents now. Is there any way to not have this problem. How can I still post this video . It still shows up on my page but not others.
Thanks for the helpful tips and info. I have only gone live one time and I have a Facebook group to sell and promotor origami owl jewelry. I did an unboxing and I displayed all the pieces of jewelry I just bought.
You can. If you schedule a stream, and then go to live producer and find your upcoming stream you'll be able to switch from "Use Stream Key" to "Use Camera" Only the stream key shows up when scheduling but both options will be there later
Hi Nick, I am in desperate need of your help. My company has our first live stream on Wednesday, where we in colaboration with two other companies are hosting a 1,5 hour session on Facebook. We would love to create a Facebook event, and invite all of our network. And here comes my question for you, that I hope you will see and answer ASAP. I have seen a lot of youtube videos on cross-posting, so we can go live from all three facebook pages. BUT what we want to know is, can a event created and co-hosted by these three companies go live and ALSO be live on the three pages. So that we're live four places: the event and each of our facebook pages? We have also considered just going live from the three facebook pages via crossposting and then just sharing one of the live stream in the event - do you know anything about this? and can you help me - I really hope so Best wishes Simone Impact the Future
Unfortunately no it cannot. You can go live from an iPhone but you can’t use or interact with the Live Producer at this time. I know I’d love to be able to schedule a stream and then go live from my phone but not able to right now
When using my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, the only device I own capable of quality live streaming, I'm unable to locate the options that flip the screen for readable text. The icons that appear are only (from left to right: Star, Clock, Masks, Filters, Frames, and the Pencil). Already updated FB app. I've deleted, reinstalled, and updated it again.. no additional icon for screen flipping or exposure. Any tips? Thanks in advance.
Hi Jenny. Thanks for watching. I don't have a Samsung Galaxy to fully test this on so can't give you a for sure. It's possible that you might not be able to with that device. Do you have the "Three dots" icon on your screen? I'd try clicking in there next it might have been placed within there.
OK, so on a business page am I able to "invite" my friends to my "live stream" once I start and would I be able to see comments at the different angle you suggest, and...lol will my customers be able to see me from the waist down or would the visibility be limited.
Ok I think I know what you’re asking but I’m not positive without seeing the part of the video you’re referring to. When live I like to use a second device if possible to read comments. From that device I’m just watching the live stream as a regular viewer would.
Nick Palkowski Yes that’s what I mean. When I use my iPhone to do a live (because the camera is good & the response time is quicker for customer), the comments interfere and I don’t have good visibility to what I’m selling. How do I correct that?
Oh so you have your laptop open or tablet? So I would just turn the comments off on the iPhone? The delay is real on the laptop & tablet. So then I would just be dealing with the speed of the comments being delayed (laptop & tablet) is what I mean. When you’re selling items and customers are “claiming” items on a live feed the speed changes from device to device
I don't. In fact they might have gotten rid of it...?? But I'm not sure. I did just look through every option in the new Live Producer but couldn't find it.
Hi Alicia. Sorry it took so long to reply. You can bring a guest on to a live from your page but only from mobile. Here’s a video I just released on how How to ADD A GUEST to Your Facebook Live | Facebook Live Guests ruclips.net/video/DRk5L7UZztM/видео.html
This is no different - I've been doing the cell phone version for 3 years now. FB has a new feature that it tracks comment selling. I thought that's what this video was covering. Do you know anything about that?
You can. From your news feed you should see the live button at the top under the “What’s on Your Mind” box. Or if you are on your profile if you tap Create Post and then scroll down on the list of Create Room, Photo/Video, Tag Friends, etc it’s towards the bottom of that list.
Hi, Can you please help me Sir to fix my facebook livestream? When everytime i try to go live i can't click the "GO LIVE" button. I can't proceed for livestream.
Generally no. There are a couple that do have that option. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it. The IG live experience is pretty unique and best as a vertical video. However if you are going to set your stream up in a vertical fashion one platform that I know will enable you to go live on IG is Restream. restream.io/join/yEkwW
also when im live on fb, i cant see comments until after its posted. is it because i dont have two devices that i can switch back and forth to or do i need to manually go to the producer section on one device to see the comments from the settings/dashboard?
It's been a little buggy lately I've noticed. Facebook Live Producer works best on Chrome browser so if that's an option I'd recommend trying that. I'll often time have one tab open in the behind-the-scenes of FB Live Producer, and a second tab open to the actual stream (what a viewer would see) that way I can flip back and forth if I'm concerned comments aren't coming through.
Ahhhhhh! I can’t find an answer to my qu anywhere ☹️ I use obs for a scheduled live. I can see comments, but I can’t see viewer count or any list of viewers at all. They were all friends of mine but I had to ask them to comment to know that anyone was even there... 🤔
That’s a bummer! Unfortunately I don’t deal with OBS so I won’t be able to provide a super clear answer. The two softwares I recommend are ecamm live for Mac and vMix for PC. The possible workaround I can suggest is to have FB Live Producer pulled up on a second device or along with OBS. That way you could see who was watching from that side.
Nick Palkowski Actually I do still use the live producer, obs is only used to stream the video, then I use the live producer to see comments and make comments. And the video in live producer shows up the same. But no viewer count. Qu- using ecamm how do you see a viewer list? Where do you see it on live producer. I’ve watched so many videos and no one has shown where it is even accessible... so I’m wondering if perhaps it’s not just me but that no one else can see their viewers. How about you when do live scheduled stream from a computer?? Thanks for your quick reply!!
Nick Palkowski I have managed to see the viewer count now on live producer by switching browser to chrome instead of safari. But still cannot see a list of the people.
Oh I think I understand now. Sorry I was a little slow on your actual question. You mean the little notifications in the comments where it says”_____ is watching with you” correct? You won’t find this in any third party switcher like OBS or generally in Live Producer. I say generally because Facebook is testing a lot of things with live producer right now and I’m not 100% confident that I’ve never seen it there. Where you will see that is on the viewer side of your stream. So if you’d like to see that during your streams you will need to open a separate tab or window and pull your live stream up so you can view the comments. Now it will only ever show you if someone you are friends with is watching and won’t ever tell you the names of anyone else. Hope that all made sense. Basically it only ever shows that to a viewer, so if you want to see it you need to be a viewer of your own stream.
Nick Palkowski thanks. But isn’t that so weird that even without obs I can’t see how many viewers! (On a scheduled live). I could be talking to myself. Naughty fb! ;)
Hmmm... Are you using the chrome browser specifically? They seem to be building around that first. Then make sure you’re going to Facebook.com/live/producer
You can if you have the right Zoom package. They have a paid tier that will allow you to. Alternatively, you could use a third party switcher like vMix to screen capture your Zoom window and stream from vMix. That is what I do with most of my remote streaming clients.
You can. If you use a third party switching software. My favorite ones are ecamm Live for Mac NickPalkowski.com/ecamm and vMix for PC NickPalkowski.com/vMix
Nick Palkowski Thanks Nick this is good I am on a PC curious if the third-party because I’m a musician is decent for sale on Facebook seems to have as well as RUclips wonderful sound compression programs like zoom etc. do not what is third-party affect sound?
You’ll need to go to facebook.com/live/producer and then I go through the rest of the steps in this section of the video. ruclips.net/video/gIkWDtwDV-Y/видео.html
You can. There are a few options for doing this. I don’t have a full video on it yet. I’m going to add it to my list for one of my next videos. I do briefly talk about one way in this video ruclips.net/video/pMquefvk5HU/видео.html
Are you using a webcam or another DSLR type camera. See if you can shut off the autofocus and manually focus the camera so it’s not constantly hunting for focus
Hi Diane. The button you hit in Live Producer to start the live stream will turn into a big red “End Live Stream” button once you start the stream. Just need to tap that to end.

well done tutorial very great
Nice video, just a quick question connot live anymore theres no live button, please need you Help.
Are you going to Facebook.com/live/producer ?
Michelle Parto.
very helpful, thank you
Thanks!! Thank you for watching. Glad it helped
hi i do live selling on groups earlier but im so confused my buyers can't comment on my live selling.. can you teach me what to do?? im so greatful if your gonna teach me..
Hi I’m new at the selling live shopping on FB but i can’t find the live shopping to sell on fb. Do you know if I’m doing anything wrong
Hello, how can I do a live audio on facebook live producer on desktop, thanks.
do you recommend live fb with large audiences or is that a cue for me to add a third party software??
You mean going live directly from Facebook with a webcam? That can be a great option no matter the size of your audience. Really the big difference will be when you want to increase the production quality of your FB live stream. Then you'll need to upgrade to a third party software like ecamm, or vMix.
@@npalkowski thanks so much!
@@MexicanaMeg You're welcome!
That’s awesome. Congrats and good luck with future streams. Let me know if you have any live streaming questions as you go along.
Does Facebook live have a time limit on the lives?
Can you add people to this? I have trouble adding guests?
So is it not possible to go live from a scheduled post using a laptop camera and no external software?
You can. If you schedule a stream, and then go to live producer and find your upcoming stream you'll be able to switch from "Use Stream Key" to "Use Camera"
Only the stream key shows up when scheduling but both options will be there later
Do you know how can I go live on Facebook live shopping? I’ve been trying everything but it’s not giving me that option.
We have also considered just going live from the three facebook pages via crossposting and then just sharing one of the live stream in the event - do you know anything about this? and can you help me - I really hope so
Best wishes
Simone

Can FB Live Producer Interface be used on Iphone?
Have a quick question if I want to go live on a page but do not want to have live audio while I am live how do I do that ?
From your computer, you could just go into your system preference (for your computer) and turn your mic input volume all the way down.
@@npalkowski Thank you what about for an amazon tablet?
OK, so on a business page am I able to "invite" my friends to my "live stream" once I start and would I be able to see comments at the different angle you suggest, and...lol will my customers be able to see me from the waist down or would the visibility be limited.
Ok I think I know what you’re asking but I’m not positive without seeing the part of the video you’re referring to. When live I like to use a second device if possible to read comments. From that device I’m just watching the live stream as a regular viewer would.
Nick Palkowski
Yes that’s what I mean.
Nick Palkowski THANK YOU
Do you know where the old option to stream in 360° is? In the old live producer it was easy to find ...
I don't. In fact they might have gotten rid of it...?? But I'm not sure. I did just look through every option in the new Live Producer but couldn't find it.
How do I improve the quality of live stream videos on Facebook?
How do you add a guest to FB live business page???
Hi Alicia. Sorry it took so long to reply. You can bring a guest on to a live from your page but only from mobile. Here’s a video I just released on how

When I go live on my page I can't see comments. Any idea how to correct?
This is no different - I've been doing the cell phone version for 3 years now. FB has a new feature that it tracks comment selling. I thought that's what this video was covering. Do you know anything about that?
I need a video that just gets me going
I keep getting a check your settings messages cant go live
I'm just beginning, and found most of this confusing. I wanted to just know how to turn it on from my computer.
Can you go live on your own profile on the facebook app? I can not find the go live button or feature anymore on my mobile ios app HELP
On mobile or computer? If computer, have you selected the webcam button and can you see yourself?
Is it possible to go live on Instagram at the same time with a 3rd party? I see that Ecamm doesn't have that option.
@@npalkowski perfect
@@MexicanaMeg Thanks! I appreciate that.
I am trying to put a clickable link to my paypal account in my live stream. Did it one time but I do not remember how. Thank you
On FB you should be able to add a url to your description or to a comment and pin that comment
How do i go live on a desktop pc without a camera because i don't have a Camera
Naughty fb! ;)
My Live Producer Page Just loads and nothing shows up , i've checked with other browser the same thing .
Please Help !!
Hmmm... Are you using the chrome browser specifically? They seem to be building around that first. Then make sure you’re going to Facebook.com/live/producer
Can I do a FB live of a Zoom conference?
You can if you have the right Zoom package. They have a paid tier that will allow you to.
Alternatively, you could use a third party switcher like vMix to screen capture your Zoom window and stream from vMix.
That is what I do with most of my remote streaming clients.

You’ll need to go to facebook.com/live/producer and then I go through the rest of the steps in this section of the video. ruclips.net/video/gIkWDtwDV-Y/видео.html
Can I integrate multiple speakers in single stream? If yes please help
You can. There are a few options for doing this. I don’t have a full video on it yet. I’m going to add it to my list for one of my next videos. I do briefly talk about one way in this video ruclips.net/video/pMquefvk5HU/видео.html
