I never saw Lynn compete, but I spoke with him many times at EMMR. He was a wealth of information and always willing to share his stories and many of the central PA Posse. Really, just a nice guy. EMMR is a true testament to the dedication of Lynn Paxton's value to sprint car racing throughout the USA. GOD'S Blessings to his family and his multitude of friends.
Lynn was a wonderful person and a great ambassador for dirt track racing. He was great with young kids, always letting them sit in one of his storied sprint cars. He would always offer them a free Matchbox sized race car, their choice from his special box. I know this because I had my grandsons there many times. Lynn was my neighbor and the museum nearly in my back yard. On August 23, I took two buddies from work to the museum. I had a just a few brief words with Lynn as the museum was nearing closing time. Although I could tell he wasn't feeling well, never did I think it would be my last conversation with him. Prayers for his family and a great big thanks for the legacy of dirt track appreciation he left for us.
Thanks Jeremy He was my Hero on the track and I bought multiple sleds from him back in the late 70's and early 80's and spent a lot of time at his shops.............he was probably a better Man than Racer! RIP
Was very privileged to see him compete many times, the old song "Smooth Operator," can be used to describe his driving style. I was very saddened to hear of his passing. I remember him most in the "Boops Aluminum" machine.

Dad worked for AMF and asked if I wanted to see sleds dragging on grass. Of course I did. Had no idea my sprint car idol raced sleds too.
I saw him win a lot of races, but he was absolutely dominant in Boops Big Block Rocket! That car carried the #1 for a reason!
Thanks Lynn for all the excitement. 🍀🇺🇸🍀
