I've been struggling so much with deciding what to do with my 5-year-old and school, the way you gave your advice here made homeschooling much clearer than what I've found doing my own research. Thank you for the help!
I love your approach of just enough is enough for littles. As they get older, they can handle a bit more of a load every year. This is the same way I plan for my soon to be kindergartener! I want her to enjoy good books and do some art and be introduced to math, and then play the rest of the day. Just enough is enough ☺
now subbie here. I am stumbled on your video for homeschooling kindergarten. My son would be turning 4 years old this October yet he wants to somehow do things for school every day. First time homeschooler here and it’s our kindergarten year. Your video provided me with some good insight on curriculums that could work for us. I also love the “just enough” approach you suggest. I understood that you do handwriting everyday of the week and science/art twice a week. Not sure if I missed it but I do want to ask how often are you doing math and reading?
thanks for sharing! my 5.5 year old is just starting this year - it's our first year homeschooling and he's super reluctant to get on board! He loves to learn, is open to my instruction in our home in general but just is not into sitting down to do any work. Any advice for a new homeschool mama?
Have you tried my baby can learn/read? I bought it to try with my kindergartner. My first year 100% homeschooling! Do you use only the student book for math?
Where can I find these curriculums? There's no links 😅. We 3 kiddos. Our 15yr old finished HS early. Our 11yr old is starting 7th grade and our 5yr old will start kindergarten. Thank you for this awesome video.

Lisa, with the handwriting, do you photo copy the page so that she can keep practicing or just use the page as is?
That’s such a good question! I don’t photo copy because my kids love seeing the new pages everyday. But that is such a good idea!
