He hasn’t even seen their daughter for a few yrs and has not paid for child support! Now he’s back in court for evading $160k of that. My ex abused me and I took him to court and broke down in front of the judge about him beating me and trying to smother me in my sleep. I brought pictures of the bruises and cuts he left on me. The judge laughed in my face. I hate to admit how I was skeptical when women would come out and speak against their abusers after a long time of waiting. I hadn’t been in their shoes until then and now I will NEVER doubt a woman who has the courage to come out and say something!

Honestly, that outburst dug his grave for me. When his pity party sob story did not work with Ms. King he lost it. He got angry, started yelling, and trying to physically intimidate her. I think he realized part of the way through the out burst how bad this looked so he backed off a bit and tried to morphe it into exhaspertation anf sadness, not anger. The look on his face as he got up out of that chair should tell everyone everything they need to know. The thing is I recognize that face. I grew up in a house with domestic abuse and I know that expression. That's the "you're not doing what I wany you to do and you are going to regret it" face. It's straight up rage. I don't hesitate to guess that many others who experienced domestic abuse recognize that expression too. He just tipped his hand. Thing is, it's the same hand most abusers have. It's a bone fide classic.
