why not use Sunshine and Moonlight to stream your pc to the steam deck? I do this all the time and it works perfectly. Right now I'm playing KCD1 at ultra settings and modded (for even better image quality) at 1600p 60 fps on the steam deck
@DTunezOfficial I really should set all that up because I constantly forget that's even a thing, maybe I'll do exactly that. Especially for monster hunter if it still runs like the beta did
This is how you optimize a game. In another world Cryengine would be the developers' choice instead of Stutter Engine, sorry Unreal Engine, although it is true that the first Kingdom had a serious CPU usage problem in cities like Rattay that I hope they have resolved or improved in the second. P.S: could you please try the first one again? 8 months ago I played it on my Steam Deck LCD with everything on high except physics, which I left on medium, with the drawing distances at just over half and the game worked perfectly at 30fps with a very good frametime. But now for some reason the game has slowdowns where it didn't before and the frametime seems like a roller coaster and I have it installed on the SSD so I don´t know if it is a problem with some update to SteamOS, Proton or the MESA drivers or if my Steam Deck is trying to tell me something XD
Wow, that's actually amazing. It's running even better than the first kcd with better graphics.....what can we ask ? Warhorse studio did an excellent job 💪
Yep, this made me confident that my pc will run it and I think I might even be able to bump some textures and other little things to medium or even high
Ive been waiting for this kind of video for what feels like an eternity. Its this kind of content that will determine which platform i purchase this on, so thanks! In your opinion, how do the higher frame rate settings hold up in some of the busier areas, like that opening battle etc? My only concern is the potential for lag in the later towns and cities
I am flabbergasted and that's how you optimise your game lads! I did not even think that Steam Deck could handle this game but again, what a surprise)) Thanks for the video, pal! One of the best Steam Deck channels.
Looks amazing! Can’t wait to play it on my steam deck on the go. Are you using the plug-ins of the 3.1 FSR mod or are these just regular benchmarks from the steam deck without the mods?
yeah... I am almost sure this game can be optimized because that frame timing chart is kind of all over the place. hell, i wouldn't discard 60 fps being "doable". the HUGE issue is the texture size. they need to REALLY be optimized because that ram usage for those textures... something doesn't add up there.
Have you also reached the big city Kuttenberg? Is the steam deck able to cope with that amount of stuff going on? The fight scene in the beginning of this video certainly looks promising... I'm still torn whether to preorder or not in order to get Brunswicks Armor...
Hope to play this great gate on my steam deck cous I'm far away from my home. Thi svideo confmir for me, this bee a good choose. Thank you sooo much! 😊
@@Micchi- When the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance was released, the game was full of bugs and unplayable. The developers said that feedback was very important to them, so they have been fixing and optimizing the game for the past few months.
I already bought the game and I'm very pleased to see that it works on steam deck. But if you increase the performance slightly what happens to the game? Does it stutter?
If you play it on the steam deck and save. Then decide you wanna play it on your desktop does it let you pick up where you left off or are there two different playthrough going on?
No FSR, low to medium settings and at least 33-36 FPS - this is verified and playable. Playing all lows and FSR 30 fps is "gow: ragnarok verified" read "unplayable".
How much into the game are you? Like, how many hours? Just to know if the game is this stable all throughout and just buy it right now. KCD is on my top 3 favorite games ever
Please tell me how you convinced your PR rep to not put performance numbers / overlays under NDA. For real. Playing the game since nearly a month now, it sucked not being allowed to share findings.
It's a massive RPG with tons of content and looking to be a very special game, I'm thoroughly enjoying playing right now. The characters are all very well written, the world is highly immersive and everything is a big step up over the first game, I think everyone will tell a lot of hard work has been poured into it. I'd definitely recommend and I'm excited for launch ❤
I'm impressed. Sure, the game looks barely different from the first one from 2018, but it was already beautiful. And it's working on a low-level hardware without going potato mode even on low settings.

Nice news, nice video. Thanks
Thank you for checking the video out 💯
Thank you. I’ll be buying on PC.
Thank you and enjoy ❤
Damn, looks to be running very well. I was going to get this on my Series X but this is making me think maybe I’ll go for the Deck 😮
Thanks for sharing your positive impression with us, looking forward to launch 💯
You would be better playing it on the Series X. It runs at 60fps at 1440p. Way better than what the Steam Deck can do..

But can it run Crys.... Kuttenberg? =)

This is on the steam deck oled right? So it might perform a bit worse on the lcd
if you look at the GPU utilization and wattage. it looks like there is some headroom. I believe it will perform just fine on the LCD deck.
Performs very similar on LCD ❤️
Thanks mate! Does new FSR mod work with this??

@FlabbergastedFish88 it's a mod, replaces Nvidia DLSS files with FSR 3.1, including framegen
