  • Megyn Kelly is joined by Michael Knowles, host of The Daily Wire's "Michael Knowles Show,” to discuss Gov. Kristi Noem writing in her memoir about shooting her puppy, the political malpractice of admitting she killed her excited dog, whether humans are too attached to their pets, George Stephanopoulos and the press highlighting the “abnormal” criminal trial of Donald Trump, why the left and the media are actually to blame for the loss of "norms," how the trial affects the Trump campaign and the 2024 election, Drew Barrymore’s cringe interview with VP Kamala Harris, Harris having literally nothing of substance to say, a Columbia University "encampment" student leader calling for Zionists to die, protesters revealing themselves to be anti-American, a terrible CNN poll for Biden, new pro-trans ideology court ruling, and more. Then Erin Friday, California lawyer and co-lead "Our Duty USA," joins to discuss how she saved her daughter from radical transgender ideology, her daughter's “gender affirming” experience in middle school, why she's fighting to change the laws in California, how transgender ideology can lead to grooming and pedophilia on social media, how pornography is changing sexual habits, and more.

I have guns too but I'm not going to shoot one unless there is no choice. Anyway, it's not so much the act of doing it, but the sheer callousness when she describes it. Almost like she was proud of herself! If going public with this was a stunt to show how she is a "strong female" {sigh}, it went horribly wrong. • @ValKaye
      @ValKaye Месяц назад +7

      This breed (pointers) chase chickens (birds) until they are trained right they will go for chickens, especially after being in a hunt. It's in their dna. We have a dog that's part german wired pointer, we got her as a puppy, she had to be trained not to chase our chickens. We never beat her or abused her, but she learned. Yet when a visitor like a pigeon, chuckar, hawk comes around, she chases it off.

      However, when dogs kill chickens, there is NO training that can correct it, whether a puppy or an adult dog.
      What to do? Put the dog down or rehome the dog in the city.
      The mistake in Megyn's reasoning is the, "one time," mistake. Killing chickens, is not a puppy or training issue. It's a predatory animal behavior that can't be fixed by training. Once a dog successfully catches chickens, kills them and tastes blood, the dog will continue the pursuit of chickens.

      Yep, farmers usually have no respect for animals, although some do form bonds with maybe a horse or other pet. To them feeding an animal they can't use in some way is a waste of resources. They shut down the empathy they would normally have in order to live with the horrid things they do to animals. My family farmed. I know a lot of farmers and virtually every person I know who grew up that way has a heartbreaking experience where a parent or grandparent traumatized them by killing in front of them. My grandfather loved feeding kids rabbits they bonded with. That's why I'm a vegan. I know people who were forced to chase down an animal to be killed or actually take part in the killing. A friend had to watch as her rabbit was killed. This lack of empathy in farming families is carefully created at home and through organizations like 4H. Ya'll think vegans are ultra left wingers but I'm here to tell you a lot of us are vegan because of what we witnessed growing up in our conservative farming communities.

Whoever told her to do this was not her friend and also a bad person in general .

    No offense to the clueless metroservatives, especially Megyn and Michael, but you're reacting off of emotions and are 100% clueless as to a farm/ranch dog compared to your red carpet trophy canines. When a dog starts behaving destructively, like killing an entire barn full of someone's income or livelihood (chickens are not typically kept as pets as much as they are for some form of repeating income), and shows aggression towards humans as well, you can't just "take it to the humane society". I'll let you try to figure out why. I grew up rural, and hearing about farmers having to delete their dogs that they loved just as much as you love your show contenders, because they BECAME A LIABILITY. I agree it probably wasn't the smartest move to share it in a book that most people will be appalled by, but there are some things about life outside the big cities that you will never understand.

      Segura, your statement appears to be easily falsifiable and highly suspect, being based on ignorance and no attempt to verify/falsify your proposition. Do you seriously think that those who don’t like dogs are absolutely bereft of any knowledge at all? It sounds like a conclusion that one who doesn’t exercise critical and rational, logical thinking would draw out of resentment towards those who don’t like dogs. Why would you equate dislike of dogs with absolute and total ignorance of everything? Does that seem to be sound reasoning and critical analysis to you? If your reasoning is pursued relentlessly to it’s logical conclusion, it would be that a dislike of dogs qualifies one to be placed in supervised custody because of the very high probability of doing harm to self out of a total lack of awareness that there are harmful and even lethal consequences for some actions. Conversely, your reasoning would conclude that those who like dogs are the epitome of total awareness, knowledge, understanding and wisdom, which is equally falsifiable and highly suspect.

      Okay but here is the point. She wrote this book to advance her political ambitions not to talk about life on the farm. I question if the dog story is even true and even that doesn’t matter, Noem tried to use that story to come across as tough without figuring that, dare I say, 98% of the population does not live on a farm. The relevance objective is lost in the wake of apparent cruelty. What the story shows is how little Noem understands the national stage making her a slightly more attractive version of Sarah Palin but even more tone deaf and irrelevant .

      Any dog trainer quoted in Rolling Stone magazine is suspect in my book. I had a German Shorthair Pointer-same dog, different coat.Megyn, they are not trained to attack and eat birds. It’s in the name. They are pointers. Our male shorthair was never aggressive-EVER. I wouldn’t be able to do this to any dog unless in a life & death situation. She may be questioning her choice to write it down after all of this . But .when Rolling Stone magazine goes so far as to interview a (probable) progressive ‘hunting dog trainer’ in order to disparage a conservative female governor of a state she’s been largely successful in running, fellow conservatives shouldn’t do exactly what they wanted and pile on criticism-especially if you’ve never been bird hunting or had any experience with hunting dogs Megyn! :) these Marxists have zero emotion over the 60,000 aborted humans last year. This is political-democrats are evil.

    I do not understand the following: "my child's school, who did not even know her, changed her name and pronouns behind my back while my child was at home learning online." how on earth is thatt even possible? You had your child learning at home and did not notice????????
    I hear this over and over. Why on earth are parents complying with this bullshit? my son is now in his mid thirties and I was told to put him on medication to get rid of his energy when he was in elementary school. this was a private conservative Jewish Day School in Los Angeles. All leading positions at the time were filled by women. The school psychologist , principal and several teachers urged me to put him on meds. I just looked at them and told them they needed to do their job and keep my son busy and challenge him with schoolwork. I then DEMANDED to sit in class to observe my son's "so called misbehavior' for a day or two with one particular teacher, a neurotic woman in my judgement. They first refused, but like a dog who does not give up his bone, I kept insisting until they allowed me to sit in the class, in fact all his classes for a full week. The students only noticed med for about an hour and then forgot that I was observing in the back of the classroom
    What I learned was disturbing. most teachers abuse boys expecting them to behave like girls. Especially very smart boys were never kept challenged and got bored easily, naturally acting up, resulting in visits to the "office", no playground time, call to the parents to put them on medication.
    At the end of my week I shared my observation with other moms so they would know how their little boys were abused by these women teachers. I also put down my foot and conveyed my observations to the principal and school therapist. I warned them, if they continued to harrass my son, I would take legal action. IT STOPPED and I never had problems again.
    the problem in my opinion is less the schools than the PARENTS WHO ARE TOO LAZY TO TAKE CHARGE OF PROTECTING THEIR CHILDREN AND LAY THE GROUND RULES . WAKE UP PARENTS + FOR GOODNESS SAKE START PARENTING
