I absolutely love her pink crocheted prom dress, she is extremely talented, I love crocheting, I have a few crocheted sweaters, they are super cute. I used to crochet all the time, but the arthritis in my hands has made it impossible, but I still love cute, beautiful work like hers. You go girl🩷
She did an amazing job. Access to technology has absolutely changed my learning and I’m almost 40. I tried learning to knit maybe 20 years ago but didn’t have anyone to teach me in real life so it didn’t stick. I knew 1 stitch and could only make scarves so that got old quick. It was during Covid I needed a hobby for my anxiety. I started seeing tutorials on RUclips and picked up a cheap hook and 2 things of yarn at Walmart one day when I was grocery shopping. It’s been years now and I’ve made blankets, cardigans, countless winter hats for the unhoused, so many random things. It’s absolutely possible to learn nowadays alone, with the internet. Just like she said, patience is needed but besides that, it’s very basic. And my favorite thing about crochet, if you don’t like it, you just unravel it. My fear of commitment let’s me explore different yarn colors and even make a full project just to dislike it and undo the entire thing to remake it. You don’t need to buy new yarn or waste materials. You can use the same yarn over and over to learn before you invest in any new tools.
