I was so fascinated with this conversation. Speaking about death is so freeing. We let others know how much we love them. When they are gone we experience their love in a different way. I think what he experienced was the relief that they have no more pain. But we miss them so desperately.
Damn, Trevor. The way you speak about the sensate experience of grief was more clear and accurate than almost any other I've heard. A door that's never been opened in your heart, a color that has never been named ... and how you still carry your Gran with you and how she still boosts your heart and spirit is profound and ... also mundane and how I hope everyone can experience loss. Keep tapping into that gift of yours, and keep following your heart!
Trevor is respectful and kind. Humble in the presence of this goddess of performance. Julia has been bringing me joy, laughter and thought since I first saw her in Seinfeld when I was about 13 (1993). I TOTALLY agree Julia is just getting started.❤
What's even funnier is that in South Africa, new adventures of old Christine used to air on one of the national broadcaster channels while none of her earlier projects did so. ..
SNL was where she met Larry David, where they shared a dislike of their experiences on the show. Later, when David and Seinfeld were trying to cast a woman for their show - at the network’s request - David remembered Dreyfus and brought her in to audition. She and Seinfeld worked well together, and the rest is history. So when she says she met people on SNL, that connection with David basically set her up for success.
And really no one knows the relationship she has with her family- but her and her family. I’ve heard very wealthy people say they earned their money, and their children must earn their own. Many decide to leave their wealth to charity. You just don’t know. It’s wonderful she found something she loves doing, and she’s amazing at it! I’m a big fan.
I don't know how someone can't believe we're going to die. It's all around us. I know I've been fortunate thus far, and I have reminded myself each time someone I know passes. "Your time is coming. Don't take life for granted."
The only type of horrors are with vampires or werewolves, some monsters, and I like horror comedy and musicals, so I need to watch the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
That is amazing that she was able to meet with so many amazing people. My “what now” question is why did I have to lose my Mother. I would love to see her in a musical.
We could not help but shout and clap while watching the most recent podcast. Very insightful. Your understanding of communication beyond words perspective was magestuous!!! Great work🎉🎉🎉, Sir Trevor Noah on a professional and friendly hosting, and everything you allow the guests and co-host to share during the conversation. You made F1 and Vegas sound appealing😊. The real life race could be challenging to attend. The reputed athlete Schumacher's story is greatly a reason for that. But you made it appealing. We enjoyed this conversation with guest J. Louis D. We love #WhatNowWithTrevorNoah #OurShow
Denzel is one of the most incredible actors of our time! Love Conan. My favorite episode was when he drove Adele around. In fact, Trevor, in fact, it would be amazing if you had Adele as a guest.
I absolutely adore JLD. Interesting to hear her talk of failure. From my viewpoint in the uk she seems to have nothing but a string of successes. Veep is glorious.
I want to watch the movie but I am petrified of the topic- losing a kid, nope! I am still grieving the lost of two beloved family members to cancer, i can’t fathom to watch a movie about the death of a child. But I love most the movies she does. “You hurt my feelings” is one of my favorite.
My Mother and 2 brothers have passed away. I miss them each and every day. We all know that we are going to pass away. We all know that we are going to pass away. Just don’t know when…
This has the energy of an improv skit where there is no real movie Tuesday and they're just yes anding each other to pretend there is. The movie sounds wild.
I feel ( super random kinda ) Comedic actors are usually very good at drama but on the low lol Or good at villains for some reason Again so random lol 😂
Every night after I pray, I pray to God and imagine that my deceased Mother and 2 brothers are on a beautiful beach and my mother is probably having a cold glass of wine, one of my brothers is having a frozen margarita, and my other brother is having a cold glass of wine.

Off the top of my head: Salma Hayek, Marc Maron, Wanda Sykes, & James Acaster would all be interesting guests
Subbing 😅
Lewis Black.

Paul Rudd, Conan O’Brien, Wentworth Miller, Bill Hader, Iliza Schlesinger, Winona Ryder, Kathryn Hahn
Thank you Trevor and JLD for sharing your terrific conversation. So insightful, thoughtful, respectful and enlightening.

Just like Betty White, Julia will be relevant in her nineties. What a treasure for us all.

feeling bruised for a time instead of regret is good advice. heart wisdom.
I hoped Trevor would have mentioned "The New Adventures of Old Christine"
a brilliant comedy and cast.
What's even funnier is that in South Africa, new adventures of old Christine used to air on one of the national broadcaster channels while none of her earlier projects did so. ..
My favorite sitcom of hers....never cared for Seinfeld a few episodes are funny never understood the hype
@@raramonty5217 I don't care about Seinfeld either, though it's funny.
I hate when people don't mention Christine

Well her daddy is a billionaire so she really never had to work hard, or at all 🙄
@@J.M.-nb4gw and yet she has worked hard and a lot so what are you trying to say?
@J.M.-nb4gw so her career based on talent was out of love, rather than necessity
And really no one knows the relationship she has with her family- but her and her family. I’ve heard very wealthy people say they earned their money, and their children must earn their own. @@Historian212 and her husband. Was Robert Downey Jr also there during her run?

I love, love, love her on New Adventures of Old Christine. Super funny show. Hugely!
I came here to say the same thing!! One of my top 5 shows of all time. She was outstanding, and the whole cast was so great!!
“Everybody has got to die, but I have always believed an exception would be made in my case.”

My brain was like "That's the main character from Catch 22!" No, brain.
what i love about horror, comedy, and musicals is the timing and the pacing. that's what draws me in
The only type of horrors are with vampires or werewolves, some monsters, and I like horror comedy and musicals, so I need to watch the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Instead of yelling "ACTION" when directing, Clint Eastwood says in the calmness most polite way possible:
"All right, go ahead".
😅
I fell in love with Ms. Louis-Dreyfus ' comedy in "Day By Day." I've been following her career ever since.
Oh my goodness, I have to sit down for this. It's going to be a conversation, intelligent, funny. ❤
Two of my favorite people in the world. Thank you Trevor and Julia.
That is amazing that she was able to meet with so many amazing people.
My “what now” question is why did I have to lose my Mother. I would love to see her in a musical.
Two wonderful human beings . Bring laughter the best medicine to us 😅😅😅
Def need to see this movie. This conversation was deep, touching, sorrowful, & funny.
I love that this conversation feels very genuine. Bravo.
This is the best chat! Two of my favourite ppl. They r both so funny and deep

Trevor, you never offend anyone!
Oh, I wasn't that yiu guys finally started uploading full video episodes. Thanks!
I love Travor ❤
I got Julia’s insight about death at an early age while watching old movies and realizing all those actors so full of life had passed…
What a superb interview...this podcast is going to go places...it helps that you were interviewing one of my favourite humans
Thank you. This is delightful. 💙🌻💙
Denzel is one of the most influential actors of our time. Also love Conan!
Glad y’all got to see each other at the club!
Very insightful conversation, thank you to both of you
Trevor, I have been watching this for more than 45 minutes. Absolutely! You should watch the tribute to Richard Pryor.
"walking, walking, walking... No more walking" is one of the funniest jokes I've ever heard
Great conversation! I am a fan of Julia 😊
i watch anytihng julia dreyfus is in . Certain aura about her
Nice conversation...comedians in real life are not hyper,..just normal people that like to have normal conversations
❤ both of them.
Denzel is one of the most incredible actors of our time! Love Conan. My favorite episode was when he drove Adele around. In fact, Trevor, in fact, it would be amazing if you had Adele as a guest.
Best dance move 😂😂😂. That move was really ill

Hello watching from Toronto Canada 🇨🇦
Trevor like your podcast BUT I truly miss your comedy immensely.
Love her! Great conversation!
THANKYOU
Go read all the comments for the tuesday trailer, hectic..but the button placement on Julia's top is just pure gold
I am sorry for the loss of her father.
Denzel is one of the most incredible actors of our time!
We don't think about our death?! I wish I lived in that fantasy. I think it nearly every day.
😬
Thank you
Conductors (and music teachers) say, “one, two, ready, and…” then the downbeat :)
Trevor, I loved watching the video when you went to visit your Grandmother!
It’s getting late here, so I going to sleep. Trevor, it would be amazing if you would interview Adele!
I am going to find something again , that gets me going . I really like that .
Interesting conversation. Some strange moments. It was funny to see Trevor fanboy so much.
"Sorry! Sorry, everyone!" That was it.
You should watch the tribute to Richard Pryor. So many amazing people were there. May he RIP.
What is this now? Between Two Ficus? Did someone go to the Zach Galifianakis school of interior design?
Trevor, you have never disappointed anyone.
AWESOME CONVO! Thanks Trevor and JLD! Next time get drunk and dance!
Loved watching “The Veep”!
😢watching the trailer, 😂 Another one to watch alone 😂
Loved Seinfeld. I will watch the movie “Choose Day”!
We love to go fishing!
All of us go through different stages of life.
My Mother and 2 brothers have passed away. I miss them each and every day. We all know that we are going to pass away. We all know that we are going to pass away. Just don’t know when…
We all want to share our lives with our friends and relatives. Trevor, I am begging you to have Adele on your show.
You're looking so smart ,plz maintain your personality in this way only best of luck
I have many close friends. I had a stroke 2 years ago, so my doctor will never be able to drive. Praying for peace in our world and country.
😳
This is what happens when you invite your childhood crush for live conversation. Cmon Travor.
I loved Tuesday
I had a stroke 2 years ago and spent 3 months in the hospital. Trevor, please do an interview with Adele!
Great conversation. Took a while to warm up. Julia had to go to Trevor's level rather the host going to the guests. She handled that well.
This has the energy of an improv skit where there is no real movie Tuesday and they're just yes anding each other to pretend there is. The movie sounds wild.
Great interview! Buen trabajo Trevor! How your Spanish doing?
diplomacy, courtesy, cooperation, civics,
Love SNL!
“Action of And Action” no disrespect, just an observation, that was a very Seinfeld question 😂
Veryyyyyyy Seinfeld
Love Jane Fonda! Trevor, please do an interview with Adele.
I watched the movie “Shining”!

The ‘and’ in “and, action” is a preparatory command. Those in the U.S. military know what I’m talking about…
i´m one of the few people who never liked seinfeld and the character but really enjoyed her as Christine
Dreyfuss and Richards are the only reason that Seinfeld lasted as long as it did they were both hilarious.
No love for George Can'tstanza? 💔
Home session today. Just for the hommies
Madd love.
I feel ( super random kinda )
Comedic actors are usually very good at drama but on the low lol

Again so random lol 😂
loved it ❤❤

We have disparaged politicians for so long that good people have exited the political arena and we are left with a self fulfilling prophecy.
Love Conan!
Old Christine!
OMG It is Trevor Noah. We miss you on the daily show..
