Society teaches men daily that when a woman is vulnerable, they must put their own self-preservation aside and cater to them. She is weak and indecisive. She never respected you if she said those things. Walk out and don't look back. Loyalty isn't one of her qualities and she never considered you a partner. If she even has to ask if she is in the wrong in that situation then she doesn't have the maturity to uphold the values of a relationship.

My ex husband passed away suddenly and tragically through a work related accident, and my husband held me while I cried. He also comforted my 2 daughters who were very young. I will never love anyone like my first husband. Lots of regrets over failures in our relationship, and wuestions of what if ….. These things are natural. I felt guilty for crying and being sad. I don’t know how I would have felt if the roles were reversed. I broke down at the funeral. The person in this story, the girlfriend, is mourning a life that never was and never could have been. She is likely also confused and feeling guilty. First love and first everything… it is complicated. I’ve now been with my husband from that time going on 30 years. I can’t imagine life without him, and I know I will never move on if something happens to him.
