I just rented a Volvo V60 for ski trip, had snow, iced dirt roads, parked in fresh old Québec snow banks, and the V60 was very composed, firmed and pleasant in all conditions, local roads, rough roads, highway. Would you say that the new X-1 is much firmer? The wet snow you got stuck in was surprising.. Also I got the same fuel average, but on regular gas... Please comment, and also compare with the Q3 which is looks also like a fine vehicle.
hello, the Volvo will be slightly softer.. they're both in the same ballpark in most conditions, but the Volvo will deal better with rougher surfaces. It's less about the suspension and more about the tires and wheels. simply, the BMWs ride quality suffers more drastically. On rougher stuff. the q3 is a real sweetheart as well, though I think the BMW is the best bet where performance from the powertrain, and interior space given the overall size, are priorities. Hope that helps
