    Would you add vanilla essence? Also, it would stay softer if made with tapioca flour. Do you recommend it? I'd like to say Indonesians make something similar which they roll & cut into 5cm or so cylindrical pieces. The difference here is that they cook it for about 9 hours, or more, if I remember correctly. They also call it Dodol.

    I made this , I made everything as in the video. It tastes good. I cut it after 10 minutes and had a taste, and it is just right, but was a bit chewy.
    And now I can’t take it out of the dish! It’s gone soo hard, it is like Bulto!. What have I done wrong? I had to use canned coconut milk. Jaggery was from Sri Lanka which I brought last year, before Covid!

    • @anchantmentztasty9407
      @anchantmentztasty9407  3 года назад

      Bit chewy means it wasn't mixed well but became hard after all, now am surprised too 🤔 seems the jaggery n sugar was over mixed or jaggery wasn't good 😔

    • @johanna5688
      @johanna5688 9 месяцев назад

      Maybe you need to use a whisk to mix everything properly rather than use a wooden spoon. I hope you didn't refrigerate it? That would make it go hard. Why not zap it in the microwave for 1 minute. That will surely soften it. If all else fails, I would do a flour swap. Change the rice flour for tapioca flour.

    Hi sis, 300 ml coconut milk is enough ? Can i use coconut cream?

    • @anchantmentztasty9407
      @anchantmentztasty9407  3 года назад

      Sure it's enough, you may increase if required. Coconut cream has thick consistency then should be adding water. Definitely will be rich as it contains more fat. I use always first batch of freshly squeezed coconut milk. Natural is always gives the best taste 😍
