I love it! Visited Montego Bay in 1977… I was nine years old. Snorkeling by myself all day and exploring the neighborhood. Best time of my life. Would love to go back.
Looks so beautiful but that place is oneof the most brutal and murderous places on planet earth. Tourist for the most part is relatively safe because the government makes it so. However the locals are vicious against each other. The highest homicide rate in the western Hemisphere
That's what I said, tourist are way more safer than the locals. If you rob or assault a tourist especially a white one, you can get up to ten years in prison. You rob a local and the police don't even come to look for you, if you are caugt you are given 6 months in jail or even a suspended sentence .
It's a fact, but there are other places where the murder rate is very high. What is happening here in the US is more than tongue can tell and is black against black.

I sure yea we've got crimes going on here but why you gotta sound like everyday someone gets up outta bed someone die and the day after that I've been all over Jamaica and I've never witnessed a crime but the only parish murder happened is in montego Bay so don't make it sound like wherever you go you get killed

We have never had an issue as a tourist. Selective about who we leave the resort with!
