@@trueroman6775 Yeah man. There were some games I just stretched which wasn't optimal, just to fill the screen but I don't have to now anymore! Plus more battery savings by having those pixels turned off haha.
Great minds, the first thing that I fired up on my Steam Deck OLED was Mirrors Edge Catalyst! Glad you managed to get one, same story with mine. Got my order in a 18:23 and received it seemingly days after most people who ordered later. Can't wait to see more hidden gems lists and such from you when the Winter Sale rolls round.
Not picking one up since my original deck is still going strong! But yeah that looks so good, hope you have an awesome time with the OLED! I can imagine Tetris Effect would look beautiful on the OLED Deck tbh.
Congrats on the new deck! I compared my SWOLED to my LE 1TB and can barely see a difference between the types of glass. I also love the mitigation of reflections on the deck. One major issue though...dead pixel :/ Waiting for an RMA response from Valve.
Had to get the etched one, because once I got through to payment for the 512, a bug told me it was out of stock. No regrets whatsoever though. Bit disappointing from Valve that they didn't send you, the #1 Deck Ambassador :), a free unit prelaunch! Cheers & enjoy that thing!
I am very pleased with my OLED, I sold my launch Deck not long after I got it due to software issues and game compatibility. It really is very seamless now.
Omg same here, I'm in London and got really annoyed that my Deck took 10 days to arrive. They shouldn't be advertising 3-5 business days to those of us outside of the US. But it's awesome
Got one and this it’s a great device. The colors looks a lot better and will be using my Steam Deck more now for certain games (I pretty much stopped using it after I got the ROG Ally, but the Steam Deck will still not be my primary).
It is the best! I purchased the 1TB OLED. I sort of cannot attest for the etched glass; I immediately put on a glossy screen protector. I had one on hand from my old Steam Deck. The colors and black levels are absolutely phenomenal, HDR looks so good on games. Battery life has been my favorite part though.
Ahh I’ve heard that does mitigate the etched look!! Still a phenomenal display, and you’re right the battery life is so so good for a handheld console this powerful
I use my steamdeck also often to stream from my gaming pc to the deck while being in the livingroom. The new steam deck has quite a bit better networking chip. Did you try that out and notice a difference? :) Thanks for the video, much love! :)
It would be the best handheld 5 years ago. At the end of 2023 it’s just way to under powered and even if it could handle most big multiplayer games you couldn’t play them anyway because if anticheat.
@@RouTube47 SteamOS is only easy if all you’re doing is playing Steam Deck Verified games. I also like the gaming UI for Steam Deck a lot better too. However, if you want to do more things like mod your games, use trainers, play game pass, games with other launchers, etc work a lot easier on Windows.
The OLED makes 16:9 games so much more bearable to me. The deep blacks help so much. 90fps on some older games are so nice as well.
Dude I feel this soo much… the borders just get obscured in the deep blacks opposed to standing out very clearly on the LCD SD.

The screen is 16:10... that is why you have 800p
I think its 16:10
There is a new option that makes you able to stretch a 16:9 to a 16:10 one
I didn't even think about playing mirrors edge. That game looks so good. I bet it's even better in person
We need this legend to return
Getting my Oled later today and watching this just got me more hyped 😄🔥

3:37 "Pops so hard" made me exhale loudly through my nostrils
I agree. It's become my favorite and I have had many.
Love the channel and my oled can't wait for more videos great stuff mate.
Great review, lookig forward to more game videos from ya
The man the myth the legend - Graves, back just in time for me to obsess over oled footage whilst I wait for my order
Exciting times!! Hope you love it dude

definitely makes no sense that they didn't use Samsung panels on the more expensive LE... 🤦🏻
AAA games run amazing on the right setting

Decided to upgrade my 64gb to a 1tb and what a difference, this should hold me over until Steam Deck 2 :)

The LE or the regular?
@@theo5675 Just the standard black shell. I really am not a fan of the orange accents to be honest. If it was atomic purple I’d be all in though.
@@HeyJeswhy do people like the atomic purple in my opinion it looks so bad lol
Just got mine. Its not the fastest, but it's like the Rolls Royce of handhelds. It's super sick.
I was blown away with how light it feels in my hand, so much so that I had to order a JSAUX case cuz im so used to a weightier feel. Is that weird lol
That just feels so wrong. Will be emailing jsaux to stop the shipping process.

Where you gone graves?
I’m back now 🙏🏻
It took 10 days for mine to arrive, and I live in the US. 😂
Delivery is taking so long im considering just cancelling and getting a rog ally... im holding on by a thread rn
Man still waiting for mine..... issue with the delivery company now.... Arghhhhh lol
Matte is the way to go
No

Definitely not the rog ally can play more powerful games at better frame rates it’s 100% better
More powerful yes but dealing with windows is a pain in the arse and doesn’t have the beaut oled display, steam OS for the win
@@Graves1this is something a lot of people don’t consider, ease of steamOS and the Trackpads are worth a lot more than raw power
