All the singers tried to sing Ghalib poetry from mohd. Rafee to noor jahan, mehdi hasan but..... Jagjeet won the world title of singing Ghalib. While naseerid din shah might surprise Ghalib himself as he played better role than Real Ghalib. Its awesome.

Tejal Kothari may be he is a good actor but Jagjit singh must knew the exact pronunciation of Urdu language. he just ruined the Ghazal by saying "Tum hi" where as Ghazal starts from "tumi". this movie is on Ghalib and Ghalib is one of the finest and best poet of Urdu Language the Empror of Urdu Language and actor and singers are just moking him with wrong pronunciation.
as a native Urdu speaker, it feels so good to hear it spoken so well with accurate pronunciation and not how it's spoken today in Indo-Pak. Mirza Ghalib felt that his entry into the favours of the Emperor was being impeded by Zauq and this was a bone of contention for him. Once in the lanes of Shahjahanabad he saw Zauq passing by and in an aside to his proteges and hangers on he said ” Huwa hai shah ka musaahib, phirey hai itraata” Zauq overheard it as he was probably meant to and made a strong complaint to the Emperor. In the next mushaira at the Qila e Moalla (The Red Fort) the Emperor took Ghalib to task. Ghalib confessed that yes he had said the line but it was not aimed at Zauq - He said it was the first line (misra) of the last couplet (maqta) of his latest Ghazal. Bahadur Shah Zafar obviously asked Ghalib to recite the entire verse. The haazir jawaab poet immediately turned it on himself and recited: “Huwa hai sheh ka musaahib, phirey hai itraata Wagar na sheher mein Ghalib ki aabroo kya hai” “Having become the King’s companion he shows off arrogantly Otherwise what other claim to respect does Ghalib have?” Knowing Ghalib’s poetic prowess, Zauq didnot accept this at face value and asked the Emperor to insist on hearing the entire ghazal… Both underestimated Ghalib’s genius. He composed one of his most popular ghazals on the spot and recited it to thundering applause. It is doubtful. Ralph Russell was the first to narrate this anecdote. He has not given the source from where he got it. Sir Syed Ahmad Khan was the first to write a biography of Ghalib, he has not mentioned it. Even Yaadaghaar-e Ghaalib, biography of the poet by his mureed and friend Altaf Hali does not mention it. This drama is just that, a drama. It has tried to capture the spirit of the times but has deviated from facts. Bahadur Shah II ‘Zafar’ had succeeded to the throne in his mid-sixties and in all his portraits he looks old and feeble with forlorn eyes, here he looks much younger. In the sh'er - hua hai sha ka musaahib…. they have even changed the word sha to shah, playing havoc with bahr. (Sha or shah not shaah, is Persian short form of Shaharyar, a synonym for king, here they have used shaah, the conventional short form of B/Paadshaah.) And as Ghaalib has written in a letter (to Mirza Mihr of Agra), he kept a clean shaven face till his beard turned white. In this drama he is shown with a rich black beard. It is indeed, a poorly researched drama.
