I appreciate you getting out and putting up vids of places I’ll never be able to see in the flesh. It’s a crack up when you get lost. I love carcamping. Have only just been introduced to it by our daughter, she was all keen to have a bash at it and I invited myself. I’m 74 and needed the exercise for a dodgy ticker. Happy Days! 🇦🇺

Erwood is lovely for a wild smiw after a hot days hiking mate, lovely location. There's a nice little park up literally half a mile along the one way from the resevoir along the valley, theres two waterfalls front and back of the park up its brilliant. Love the videos brother.

Scotland would make a cool road trip nc500 takes 5-7 days and wild camping is legal in Scotland 👍you could worn your way up there doing radom camps on the way

This is my home area. After Errwood is Fernilee then the next one is Toddbrook reservoir. This was drained because in summer 2019 the spillway on the dam started to collapse and the local village had to be evacuated

I bought a ridgemonkey, smaller than I thought from pictures just about big enough for a toasted sandwich (compact model). Recommend u look for the larger one. Good feature of mine,built in utensils and it splits so can use as 2 small frying pans which is pretty cool👍
cool cheers for heads up, nice to know before i buy, thing is im limited for space so 2 pans would prob be my max, maybe i can get away with a normal pan and a ridgemoney, saw the toaster sandwhich one had no idea it turns into two frying pans, thats cool

I've been thinking of getting a Ridge Monkey, look pretty versatile. I also want to have a go at hike wild camping, I wildcamp on my bike trips, I'm just worried about getting lost up in them there hills as that is also one of my 'favourite' things to do!!.. I've got the mahoosive rucksack, just need map and compass skills and a set of kahunahs!! Another much needed video thank you, your time is much appreciated

Wildcamping with a bike was quite a challenge in Wales and I wasn't always very stealthy and pretty scary alone but was a fab experience!🏴

Get up scotland down the Glen Road and park in the braveheart car park as its free and right at the bottom of Ben nevis with "the" best walks trails there is

Defo give the wild camping a go. I would suggest doing Dartmoor, park up at the Warren House Inn, grab some lunch and then trek north to Farnworthy reservoir, you can legally camp around there. To the west of the res there are some ooooold farm buildings, you can camp in there for some shelter 😉
is it still cool to camp up there i heard dartmoor had gone mental anti camping this year or is that just for vans and such ? been up there as a teen quite a bit with 'fam' great place
@@wanderingwhere no vans or cars but wild camping yes, there is a map showing where you can camp but seriously, it's so remote who is going to find you lol
You can use the cooker case as a splash guard if you sit the cooker inside it.

Do you put hot water in the flask and let it sit for half an hour or so before you put in coffee. That tends to keep things hotter longer
