Albertville 1992, Barcelona 1992, Lillehammer 1994, Atlanta 1996, Nagano 1998, Sydney 2000, Salt Lake City 2002, Athens 2004, Torino 2006.
Beijing 2008 , Vancouver 2010 , London 2012, Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016 soon because of problems with copyrights !
what i liked about sidneys parade of nations is that every country came out to a famouse musical tune from there respective nations for example Japan came out to Sakura Sakura, Sweden came out to Abba, Korea came out to Arirang Australia came out to Whaltzing Matilda, Norway came out to in the hall of the mountainking, Mexico came out to Jarabe Tapatio, Ittaly came out to the march from Aida the UK came out to Land of hope and glory Brazil came out to Aquiera do Brazil, and i could go on and on and on. I wish that it was more like that in the future parade of nations. If i was to compose for the olympics i would make shure that it will be the same sinario but with different music like Jai ho for India, Jasmin Flower, etc. ok i will stop here thank you for the video hello from Sweden Nicki

The Olympic parade of nations has 3 traditions
1: Greece always leads first because they created the Olympics.
2: the parade marches in the order of the alphabet of the host Nation
3: the country that hosts the games always come last.
In Athens the Greeks came last but the flag went first so they could keep theses traditions.
When Athens hosted in 2004, the flag bearer who is the greatest Greek Athlete Pyrros Dimas carried the flag of Greece entering the stadium by himself first, as they lead they always lead the parade of nation which they traditionally do as the founder of the Modern Olympics in every Olympics opening ceremonies, then he goes back and then comes back carry the Greek flag again but this time with the entire Greek delegation as the host nation.

Only the Greek flag was in the front, the team is last
The flagbearer only came out with the flag and then St. Lucia started the parade.
Olympic Traditions on Athletes Parade
1: Greece always comes first as they are the birthplace.
2 : The order of countries depends on the alphabetical order by the host nations language
3 : The host nation always comes last
Changes in Athens 2004 but resumed in Torino 2006
1 : As Greece is always first and they should be last since they are the host nation, the Greek Flag first entered.
2 : The order of the countries depended on the Greek alphabet.
