These videos are so helpful. Appreciate the people being coached being happy to share these. There are so many videos of legends making it look easy it's nice to see people on their learning journey as they move towards being legends! Learn alot from watching these as I can relate!

Really motivating. I encourage more spills n thrills and paddle up failures. This helps beginners like yrs truly to know, 'I'm not the only one that struggles'. It is hard work for most mortals and look at the reward with effort. epic run!! Sean you must've been exhausted with the main man psyching you along. 10/10 to you both. Thank you! Damo

Appreciate your videos and instruction. Been very useful for me as an OC1 paddler that is pressing into downwinds here in Hawai'i. Changed they way I approach the read quite a bit. Thank you. Been seriously thinking about finding a way to start/learn Downwind foiling. I can see it ain't easy...

Coming from OC-1 to this I can say I'm shocked how slow the process has been for me. Thought years of experience reading bumps would help me but I've straight up struggled SUP foiling. Everything moves so damn fast by comparison and spending years only looking about 45 degrees forward has me chasing bumps ahead of me and not looking around enough & flying to either side. All that said, it's 100% worth the effort. If you get pumped up for an OC-1 downwinder this will blow you away even if you come off foil all the time. For me it's been a longer process than I dreamed but even though I haven't aced an run yet - I have so much fun doing this. Go big on board and size your foil to the speed of your local bumps to save yourself some pain.

@@robmayhew3633 Appreciate the feedback. Been consuming (how to foil) videos and hoping to decide on equipment shortly. I have what I think might will be a great place to start. Large flat water area that leads to channel that serves up small bumps and then graduates to larger waves when it's pumping. I am been using the area to learn to SurfSki. Thank you for your insights and persistence!

💪🏻 what gear were you guys on?

I could see on the Naish board an ART PRO 1201 with what I think is a 350p tail, and of course 75cm HM mast. I would guess the fuse is either short or ultrashort. The Naish board looked pretty skinny so I assume it is the 7'8" 20inch wide model.
