“Stab the ground” is decent advice especially if you don’t know if it fluffy or icy snow fall from the previous day, also very cool
Excellent presentation and content!
Absolutely fantastic information!!!!
Great glad you liked this
Thank you for all the videos! Do you have any instruction on all the body mechanics at the beginning of a carved turn, at the 'high C'?
No not at the moment. Thanks very much for your comment. Please do subscribe as it really helps us 🤙🏻

THANKS 4 Video... sometimes you let the poles DRAG on the snow... why does no one discuss this?

Over with the hip!
Can anyone explain to me why need pole plant when skiing? I’m new to ski
It gives your body good stability during the turn. As well with the "jumping motion" he does helps in taking off weight from the skiis, thus easing the turning motion
Best
I mean, I was NOT taught to pole plant when I learnt 2003 , would it be good to start doing it now , or not ??
that would be a sensible idea as it gives your body stability through the turn
Definitely. Always keep learning
by watching this, I've just realized my form has probably sucked for the last 10 years lol

Helpful video, but it’s not always possible to have the poles physically plant (east coast skiers will know).
I tried this 1 time the ski pole got stuck in the snow and I got the ski pole right in my stomach it hurt a lot !!! I do not recommend anyone to try
It doesn't look like his stomach ever ends up in line with his pole though. His arms are out to the side.
I am a pro skier for many years. I have never experienced what you describe.
You planted your pole incorrectly.
