@023 I know this is late, but yes, those would be breastwork trenches, often built on hard ground where digging is impossible or impractical (potentially like in Russia, but they were more mobile so trench warfare was considered less often). I think I remember seeing pictures of ANZAC troops standing by those.
Are they ever going to change some of the camouflaged units that should only be in the late war time frame? Kind of bugs me that they have mostly standard German grey paint schemes but there's the odd few units that have camouflaged from late war. Same with the stug they use in chapter 2, its still the long barreled version and not the short.

You can't, unfortunately...Would be a nice addition! Then again, I understand why the commander's assets are "untouchable", from a balancing point of things - Especially since the allies don't get any AA to build.
The Germans employed 88's in batteries, directed by the radar/targetcalculator to engage the enemy strategic bombers. A single gun would not do much in AA role.
