I print stickers and I definitely recognize what went wrong with those prints! Its not too much magenta, its actually the lack of the color yellow! So you have magenta and cyan but none of the yellow to help turn those colors into orange or green, or even a warm white like you would want for donald and daisy. Insanely cheap to me that they would even make ornaments with every day printers anyhow, though! You'd think, with how expensive their stuff is, they could afford an industrial printer that detects when its individual colors are running out, or stop itself from printing if its having a ink error! I know only slightly expensive printers for the home that can do that. And really, for the price the least they could have done was make the character faces encased in crystal on both sides, or covered up the printed side with its visible sticker surface with something else.

For having the licensing… there’s no reason why other characters or references to them couldn’t have been used. Personally I don’t even like how they did the character faces so I’d prefer just beautiful ornaments with references to different characters. Which means they could still use the shapes they already did. The green snowflake could have been in reference to Merida just for example. And including STICKERS reusable or not is ATROCIOUS for €1100/$1300. Idc how reusable they are they’re still stickers.

At the end it was mentioned a lot that there were three misprints, but I would absolutely count the Minnie one a misprint too! Either because the bows are facing the wrong way or because they weren't even supposed to be on there! And it is absolutely insane how many days were just generic items instead of Disney related, in a Disney box. I also don't understand the way they placed the items behind the days? Why would you need an ornament on the 24th and 25th? They so could have easily put the two necklaces there for an actual Christmas present while the ornaments would still make a bit more sense before. But I guess once there are stickers in a calender for one full day, people shouldn't expect too much. :/ Thank you for a fun video!

My gemology teacher was so anti swarovski, because it's glass with extra lead to give that sparkle. It's not any real kristalstone like they promote it like. And a lot of the jewelry the stones aren't set like proper jewellery. They are glued with special glue or encased with casting the jewellery piece. This is fast and cheap, but you will also lose stones over time. Also the rhodium plating is a little bit more expensive, but it also has a purpose for the seller. Because silver turns black with time with oxidation. Rhodium doesn't. So you can sell it for a longer time period without having to polish the silver. (I'm an goldsmith btw😅)

For a multi-billion Company you would've thought that they have one of the best people in conceptualizing these products as Disney is supposedly, all about imagination. How wonderful it would've been for the classics to be represented on their 100th year Anniversary merch, but sadly, Disney as a brand has declined over the years.

I completely agree with you. For something this expensive and high end, the quality control should have been top notch and they should not have let defects through at all. To me, it looks like they cheaped out completely with the items. And considering about half weren't Disney themed seemed like they shouldn't have even been included at all. Some of the colored bits looked like cheap rhinestones you'd get at a dollar store. The snowflakes I thought were to represent Frozen since the green one looked similar to the one Elsa makes but green but to find out they're just generic snowflakes is a real let down. I think for that price point, they should have made each door a character like the Mickey head and it would have saved so much more headache and they wouldn't have so many printing errors.
(Honestly with the right molds, could probably make better ornaments with resin for a fraction of the cost...)

As someone who has Swarovski ornaments, albeit before they changed their goals and style as a company in 2020 (which is super fascinating and why I think they're doing things like Disney advent calendars now), I'm upset by this. The ornament I have is stunning, well packaged, with a strong and sturdy velvet ribbon that has survived over ten years of Christmas without damage. Their quality of craftsmanship in faceting remains unmatched. But, this is a shame, both on Disneys end and Swarovski.

I got this as a gift from my uncle who is a CEO. I love the little ornaments, but the stickers and circle ornaments were not great at all. My family loves Swarovski though, especially the mini zodiacs. Those were so precious to me as a kid, still are ❤

Wow I can't believe your uncle spent that much on your gift 😳 I'm sorry he spent that much for it to have so many issues. To be honest no calendar should cost that much and include stickers and have so many mistakes. This would be disappointing for anyone who buys it. 😕although who knows these mistakes maybe be worth more in future if most get returned and destroyed therefore they may become collectable in the future. Saying that I'm not sure how it works with things like this, I'm not sure if the misprints make them more valuable like it can with books or not 🤔

Swarovski is tempered glass. Very durable and mostly used in fashion clothing or jewelry. It’s cheaper than diamond of course but still very expensive to have. For example I am a big fan of the clothing company “Robin’s Jean”. They use Swarovski exclusively. Super reflective and durable. I sit on the glass all day and never broke any glass jewels. People like celebrities often get clothes of Swarovski like the kardashians. I’ll be driving in my car and the sun hits the Swarovski on my jacket/shirt/shorts/ pants and it is like a light show. Colors all over the walls. That is why people go crazy for Swarovski

This is as much on Swarovski as it is on Disney. It is their license after all. Meaning they approved of this being OK to represent their Brand, image and all! Swarovski customer service was incredible weak as well: what is there to investigate? Mistakes happen and they sometimes slip past you, nothing to be ashamed of if you immediately act upon it. It’s personally disappointing to me as well, since a lot of my Christmas and birthday money went to this brand since I’m 12!

Fell on your channel by accident today, but so glad that I did. However, I believe that that calendar was heavily overpriced especially for all the mistakes in the printing. I would get in touch with customer support and find out exactly why this happens. I plan on sticking around for a while to see what you have to offer. Thank you so much for sharing.

As far as I got it, they said that bc of the material, some discolouration was possible (IE not every print will look the exact same and some *minor* colour variations can occur). *But* the prints that you received were obviously misprinted, which is why they were willing to give you a different one.

It's somehow even crazier to me to imagine the printing error outside of a wildly expensive advent calendar. Like imagine you have a relative who loves Donald Duck, so you go online to buy them a Swarovski Donald ornament. On it's own that ornament would probably be like 80-90 dollars. And then they open it and it's pink -.-
