Some people enjoy them, some have a passion for them, and others can't stand them. It's impossible to satisfy everyone, which is precisely why there are so many different car manufacturers offering a variety of designs and engine types. Wishing you a fantastic week ahead! Thanks, Filip
Let's face it now Ford.....it ain't a Capri. It doesn't reflect any of the original appeal, features, values or qualities of a Ford Capri as we fondly remember it. This new incarnation is not a legend and is not a stylish sporty coupe with character and good looks like the original Capri sadly. Ford have missed a great opportunity to re-launch a much loved legendary name but failed miserably, with this disappointingly bland uninspiring design.😕 The only good thing about this particular "launch video" clip is that at least it shows some great previous Ford Capri models and proper legends like the Capri 3.0S, 2.8 injection and 280 models which are still running.🙂
Many people tend to be fixated on the past, and I completely understand the enthusiasm for the Ford Capri from the 70s and 80s. However, I don’t believe the New Capri targets the older generation nostalgic for the original model. From a marketing perspective, Ford has done an impressive job, as it has ignited quite a debate. Ultimately, design is subjective; while some may despise it, others will love it. Thanks, Filip
@YourFordCentre Many owners of the original Ford Capri are passionate enthusiasts about the Capri because it wasn't perfectly engineered, but it was different it had style, good looks, character and a big dollop of performance with a rorty exhaust sound - in the higher spec V6 engined models.😉 Maybe it's the Ford marketing department who are actually fixated with the past🤔 by 'cashing in' on the Capri brand, when this new car could've been called anything. After all it's they who have come up with the notion to stick a Capri badge on 'boxy', 4 door electric SUV that displays none of the iconic features of the Original Ford Capri, and roll out the strap line of 'the legend is back'...😕 In the opinion of many Capri enthusiasts, Ford Motor Co. have missed a big opportunity to re-introduce a more stylish version of a NEW Capri in keeping with the soul and identity of the original Capri. Whilst you say the campaign has been a success for Ford Marketing, surely the real benchmark of success will be measured by how many vehicles are sold.. and 1.9million sales set by the original Ford Capri is a tough target to reach. Good luck.. The legend is most definitely NOT back sir.
The owners of the original Ford Capri are passionate, which is fantastic and admirable. However, with the new landscape of the automotive industry, it will be hard for any manufacturer to reach 1.9 million units. Ford decided to market its latest car that way, and we, an independent family business and a Ford dealership, will promote it accordingly. Thanks, Filip
There are some nice classic Capris there. There is also the new Capri there. But those classic Capris are nice.
pretty cool
The car looks good. Thanks for commenting, Filip
Cool looking event, nice shade of blue! What colour is that?
Hi, the colour is called BLUE MY MIND :)
Thanks, Filip
@@YourFordCentre Oh that is cool! I wasn't sure as I was at the Explorer launch for Peoples and remember 'artic blue'. Thanks for responding :)
The Arctic Blue is the very light blue found on the Explorer only. Blue My Mind is available on both the Capri and the Explorer. Thank you, Filip
@@YourFordCentre thank you Filip :)
shame no one likes or wants it
