Interesting introductory video, I'm not a Model Engineer but do find live steam very interesting so I am looking forward to following the build, thanks for posting the film.
Thanks John, let's hope I can make a reasonable job of the project. Shame the introductory video is of sub standard quality but having deleted (accidentally) some media, I had to re video a video I could play on my PC screen. Thanks.
well Andy I take my hat off to you for embarking on this journey, i've been on it myself 5 or 6 year ago, it's very fulfilling but can be stressful at times, saved myself 2/3rds + on a bought boiler. Sometimes because i was new to steam loco's, i did'nt know if i was on my head or my arse🤣🤣, but by taking a step back it becomes clearer in those moments, and i got through it ok. I am sure you will get through it ok, good luck with it., By the way not sure why, but your sound was very soft, tinny and echoy, not a critisism, just to point it out to you.. unless it was my end!!! it might put some others watching off, and you don't want that. all the best 👍👍 kev
Hi Kev, Yes I watched your boiler building videos, "Great stuff" and very informative, which is brilliant for folk like myself. Thanks for taking the time to do yours. Thanks for your comments. Yes it is a poor quality video (substandard), unfortunately so is the next. I make written comment about it on the video (I think), and in the RUclips description text. Unfortunately, I deleted the media I used to make the video so had to go with a video taken of a video played back on my PC, but I think the general idea of the information I am trying to impart Does actually come across. Many Thanks. Andy G.
@@masterpiecesinminiature8299 cheers Andy, thanks for the reply, just wanted to let you know in case, so not to lose any views!!, sods law when you delete the footage, i've had to remake some videos at times when the delete button was pressed to early🤣🤣👍👍👍👍🚂🚂 look forward to joining you on your journey atb Kev
Double check the threads on your old boiler as often model engineers use the tap and die they have rather than what is on the drawing! 😀obviously you want to match the existing fittings.
Thanks for the tip Julia, yes that is a very good point you have raised. Sorry for the quality of the video and the next one also. I had to use a video taken of a video played back on my PC as I managed to delete my media by mistake. Many thanks. Andy G.
