If you increase pension tax on my mother, who retires in 2 years and has been a care worker, nurse and special needs child support worker all her life, making basically minimum wage the entire way, you'll hear about it starmer. She already relies on me for bills as it is, we're getting her property together so its as cheap as possible for her to live when she relies on her state pension. She doesn't have many private pensions because she's divorced, and took many years off to have children like every good mother does, as well as having 3 close death illnesses in her lifetime. Believe me the country will know my name if they make it harder for her to live.

Inheritance tax is actually incredibly insidious. Many adult offspring help their parents with their finances, it's a proper cooperative effort -- old school, families living together, paying their bills etc.. It let's families progress however slowly across economic class. The parents want what they owned to go to their children. No one wants for the government to take a cut out of _what has already been taxed through income tax, property tax, sales tax, carbon/energy tax._
Cynically they have done this on the final day of Parliament hoping that we will forget what they did over the Summer break.

Many pensioners who are just above the threshold need that allowance to help with the high cost of energy bills. We paid into the system for 50 yrs, yet there is funding for illegal immigrants, Ukraine, net zero, and allowances for ex Prime Ministers. I am genuinely shocked that this government has taken 200.00 from elderly people who are struggling with the rising cost of living.

The Labour Party is always on about ‘workers’. Would they care to tell us who they mean ! Anyone who goes out and earns a living is a ‘worker’. But they always refers to them as if they are a special case. I actually think that when Labour talk about ‘the workers ‘ they are talking about the huge number of people who could work but have no incentive to because the state has paid for them all their lives .The rest of us get taxed to the hilt to support layabouts. Pensioners don't matter, after the age of 65 we're neither use nor ornament. Tax our state pension, make us pay for our prescriptions they could make us work until we die they wouldn't have to look after the millions of pensioners who have paid into the economy with their tax and NI for 50yrs or more. that should give them enough money to build more home for the illegal immigrants, it will give them enough money to pay for the immigrants prescriptions, rent council tax and a bit extra to pit in their pocket . Oh I forgot it would leave enough money for the Labour party to up the fee they get for turning up to the House of Commons from £350 per day to £500 per day, that will give them a tidy sum to save for their retirement. because when it's time for that they'll change the rules to suit them.
