In the Solomon Islands most students drop out of school because a failed exam means the end of your school career. The lack of knowledge about basic healthcare, nutrition and agriculture leads to many problems. The change to a global economy and population growth lead to challanges many can't cope with because they don't have the knowledge. Adaua Secondary school wants to do something about it! This video tells the school's story and vision for the future.

I sympathise with the plight of Adaua school. Their struggle is endemic throughout Solomon Islands. For many years the government allocated millions of dollars for rural development. But politicians squandered the funds to buy votes instead of investing on things like education and health. Sadly those politicians keep getting reelected. The cycle continues. Poverty lasts longer.

Hi Good day Dr. Leafasia, I think the MP of Lau Baelelea should put more support in our Secondary School so sad that there is not enough support towards education of our young youths future in our region. I saluted you for the job well done.

Good job Adaua, try and ask your higher authorities (Province) to assist you guys with Aquaculture or Aquaponic. This is a very good set of skills where students can apply it when they go back to their communities.

I met with Dr Leafasia last year 2018 to try to pay out one of their funding support. I hope they are doing well.
