I totally agree. I was the same way, but I don’t need it. It’s nice, but it’s not blowing me away. Sofia has helped me stay grounded when it comes to making purchases.
Thank you for keeping us informed. I really love rephr brushes. The best things about rephr is how beautifully they perform and how easy they are to care for. I have some very special Fude brushes and they need very special treatment. I use them much less often. You can use a rephr brush the same way you would a synthetic brush it just performs so beautifully. I love the eye brushes especially so I’ll probably get both sets. The cheek brush seems like an affordable treasure from a company that I really love. They have done a great job of democratizing Fude. Your brush recommendations are always spot on. I’ve watched your introductory video several times.

My first reaction was to buy the mini set immediately too, but I have plenty of eye brushes right now. I’m not sure I need them, but with my hooded eyes, smaller brushes always work best . I think I’d get good use from them, but I’m not sure they are a must for me right now.

I have that Maiko squirrel brush, too. It’s just all stunning, the intricate artwork, the hair selection and bundling. Beautiful. I did buy the saibikoho brush and the mini eye set. I must say they are on top of this launch - the purchase was smooth, and within four hours I had a shipping notification. And I just have to say your nails are the cutest ❤

They’re both fantastic, the Chikuhodo MK-SK is a bit more thick, dense and plush.. whereas the Eihodo Maiko is much more airy and delicate feeling.. I’ve found that I end up gravitating towards the Maiko far more often than I do the MK-SK, though I thoroughly enjoy both:) One can never have enough fude, am I right? Lol
Fantastic demos! I love that you showed the maxi and mini on each eye, and really called out the different effects of each. And the PM review was a nice bonus! I bought the mini set and the LE cheek brush. I dont have any brushes with that type of hair so I am excited to feel it. I think I’m skipping the PM completely.
I wonder if the reason you prefer the Eihodo Maiko brush over the Chikuhodo and Rephr brushes is because it’s a lacquered, shiny handle? Whereas the chikuhodo and Rephr are matte.. it definitely does look more lux, the lacquer handle:) The chikuhodo MK-SK is really beautiful too, do you have that one? That has the maki-e and a lacquer handle. I love them all and have all of them.. (except for the Rephr of course but I just ordered 2 cheek brushes!) I’m so excited to get them! I’m really surprised to hear this is your first saibikoho brush.. saibikoho is my favorite, except I am very partial to Fox and squirrel too, though I love saibikoho because of just how versatile it is, yet it is just as soft, if not softer than a lot of squirrel brushes. And I feel like I don’t have to baby it anywhere near as much as my squirrel and Fox brushes. Great video:)❤
This was really helpful. I have a lot of Rephr brushes and I love them, but I needed more info about this launch. I was thinking that the cheek brush might be more special. I love the way it applies, but I'm not crazy about the artwork either. I'm always looking for more control, so the mini would be more for me. Great review. Thank you.💚

I can absolutely recommend these ones . They have an excellent price to quality ratio. If you don’t want the special editions you can wait on the sale .They usually have great offers there.

I have small eyes but a whole lot of lid space (if that makes any sense at all). I always have a hard time finding brushes that are small enough to get precise placement. I’m so excited for the mini set because I feel like I’m finally going to be able to get that precision that I want.

I care more about bristles than handles, so at $88 this brush is a steal!! In terms of blush pickup how does this compare to the Chikuhodo KZ-4? I find the KZ-4 a bit too wispy for some blushes but love the sheer natural look it gives me with most.

Do eye brushes feel soft against the skin. Sometimes goat hair can feel rough
They feel like all the other ones from rephr. They are pretty soft -much more than ones from Sephora or Dior for example
