not exaggerating, I cried throughout the whole thing. I always held kevin close to my heart, but season two made this... connection I felt with him even stronger. his storylines, the depth we got to see in him, the pain, the agony, the hopelessness... it's all so heartbreaking and beautifully captured by the amazing justin hartley. thank you SO MUCH for making this truly masterpiece video
Oh man Kevin is my absolute favourite. I loved that scene where Rebecca says Kevin has so much under the surface. It’s true and the actor is great at pulling back the layers. Randall was so wrong with his ‘you aren’t an addict’ bull crap but he’s understandably upset at how badly Kevin treated him as a child
It doesn’t matter what men go through. Once you show weakness, you are less than. Randall was following a tradition of kicking a guy while he’s down. We all do it. We do it because it doesn’t hurt us when someone else is down, it makes us look bigger and taller. On the flip, if the person decides to pull themselves together, we can take credit for snapping them back into shape with our “tough love”. Randall figured it out well enough.
Kevin is a wonderful character for me. He's so relatable in many ways. The "number one". The one who got into college and was a dropout. The one that got little to no attention at all. The first son and yet still didn't manage to make it to their expectations.
Justin this season was honestly so incredible & emotional & impressive & heartbreaking all in one! I was so blown away by it - definitely deserving of award recognition. This video so beautifully captured the pain Kevin endured this season!
Umm I don’t think so that’s true I feel like every character in the show has their own flaws even randall did but apart from his idea of controlling things his way. I definitely don’t feel he wanted to be the centre of the attention also not saying kevin wanted to be the centre of attention. I feel like the biggest highlight of randall was to control everything according to him that was his perfection which he always tries to keep the family together and also his biggest flaw.
@happy.sappy1018 no it is, it is true Randall is all about the randall show it's always only about him ffs he literally in rehab and randall still wants it to be about him fuck I hate randall
This is us one of my favorite new shows. I love these characters. And I truly love and root for Kevin. He's carried so much guilt and shame over what he's done in the past. I hope in the future season we see Kevin become the man he's capable of.
This blew my mind. You did such an amazing job and honestly Justin should've gotten so many awards just for that scene on the field. It was heartbreaking to watch.
In season one I was so like “meh” regarding Kevin but season two made me love him so much. He is my favorite character now along with Jack. This edition is SO amazing, thanks for that!!!
Oh god I watched this like a thousand times ! It is sooooo good and it summarizes perfectly why Kevin is my favorite character. There is so much more beneath the surface. Thanks for this excellent job and please make more videos like this :)
This is so darn beautiful. And I like that you included some parts with Sophie, even though for this video it had to be the heartbreaking moments. I love Kevin so much and I miss him, so your fanvid was a nice surprise.
For Kevin, the death of his father Jack is not a "simple" mourning: the fact is that this death causes him a sense of inner emotional loneliness, because the other people around him are not enough for him; His father was the only one with whom he had a mental understanding, and he was the only figure who truly motivated him. Losing Jack means for Kevin losing those reasons and stimuli to feel really good...Jack was the only one who "realized" him...he has always been Randall's shadow (due to the fact that he is black , and Kate, due to her weight problems). Luckily, Kevin then finds this figure in Sophie
the thing is, randall is clearly upset about how kevin treated him when they were children.. I have friends who they are both twins and the one has issues and the other doesn't. their mother pays attention to the one without the issues, the one who is okay. their whole family tells the other one she's doing all of this for attention and sometimes it may be but not always. they do it because their so sick and so hurt of how they've been treated so they say or do things and its not for attention.

"just in time to bury his beloved father" "married a terrific girl" " someone help me please" I've no words
Tbh Randall was so wrong in that therapy scene
Rachel Green he was right because he was standing up for his mother. Other than that no he was not right.
Reminds me of when Becka said Jack wasn't an alcoholic at first
i was so mad at randal during the therapy session if only he new what kevin went through

That scene where he is crying asking for help it's so heartbreaking, so emotional. You just want to hug him and tell him everything it's gonna be ok
Kevin was right, Randall is the one who always needs to be the center of attention

Kevin is my fav character on this is us because he is so relatable hopefully they can show how he is cured before the show ends....

Pain has deep roots
Soooo true
What can this kid not do.
I can confirm, that it is a rollercoaster ride being Kevin Pearson 😜

Absolutely Amazing!!
Can I ask how you removed background music from some of the dialouges?
Hey do you know the music that plays when Kevin remembers his childhood at college ground??
How his voice breaks at “terrific girl” ….
"Thats my son" the only thing i wanted to hear but coming from a asian family i probably never will...
Poor Kevin
which episode is 1:44?
I cant stop but laugh because of this song it’s just a meme why would they play that song in the background
He came to Sophie's door begging for help and she just left him crying on her lawn all night, I would never forgive that!
That wasn't Sophie's door lol it was some random chick from HS he slept with and ditched.
