I love this song its so beautiful & to know my great nan sung it to my mum when she was a baby & my mum sung it to me & my siblings as babies & i have always sung it too my babies 😍 it warms my heart that my 3 yr old son knows the words off by heart although its such an old song. I knew that it was not a song that I had heard so I called my mom and It was from 1919. I thought that my aunt Bertha could have sent it to comfort me in my sorrow. You gotta broaden your spectrum, there are so many songs that have amazing singers who really do put all of themself into the music. Maybe it's a bit different from this, but it's the same result no doubt.

I am looking for a recording of this song put out in the late 50's by Marion. That was the name on the 45 record. It was an instrumental.
