  • We travel to the North-East Greenland National Park, the largest national park in the world with an area of 972,000 square kilometres, two and a half times the size of Germany. Only a few hundred people are supposed to visit it each year, and you need a permit to do so. We spend most of our time in the Soresby Sound area up to the Kaiser Franz Josef Fjord. We are travelling on the expedition ship MS Sea Spirit. There are 109 passengers and 72 crew members on board. There are also 18 members of the expedition team. The journey to the far north reveals the beauty and uniqueness of these landscapes, but also their fragility. Presumably the generation after next will not be able to experience it like this. The complete travelogue with numerous photos can be found in German at reiseinfo4you....
