Yes it was a lot of fun but at the same time it proved that Hearthstone is just a slot machine simulator nowadays, based mostly on pure luck and RNG, yes it is a card game so RNG is inevitable, sure, but you can design a card game in a way to make it based less on rng and lot more on skill but with each expansion they are adding more crazy rng based cards, they aren't helping the situation AT ALL

its a missed lethal from our perspective, there are two secrets viper was worried about, explosive trap and misdirection. He could play around either one but not both. I could be wrong about this, but my guess is that viper really thought it was misdirection. Viper respected the fact that Hunterace saw the counterplay to explosive trap (the play you wrote out) and decided that hunterace wouldnt bluff in that position. So viper maximized his odds against misdirection and got punished for making the better play imo. I really felt for Viper in this position, that was a huge gamble

if its freezing trap his stealphed 1/1 wwhich attacks first wiill get removed and he still can attack face with his 1/1.

and technically he did still try to play around explosive trap since his play leaves a voidwalker that sticks as long as hunterace doesnt have 1 damage
he knows hunterace has pick 2 lackeys and greenskin cuz of raiding party and miscreant so he just gambled on him not having 1 damage but of course you just ignored my original assertion that he rnged a board clear so when you say he "missed lethal" in hindisght yes when you have full knowledge of both cards and the secrets but there is no guaranteed lethal since theres always an rng element to it

@@chengchenghe2069 Thing is hunterace bluffed really well - trade 4/3 into Viper 3/3 is technically unnesesary - if Viper would missplay, you can trade 4/3 into DS 1/1, backstab 3/3 into 3/1, and if Viper make mistake, you have extra 4/2 to finsh game. Problem is, that line kinda shouts "it's explosive!", and chances that Viper make mistake are slim. Technically boardstate is same, but better, cause you have extra stats in play, and line for your opponent to win, is exactly the same.
But if you make that horrible on value trade, you say "I have to do that, in order to survive, 3 minions killed me everytime" and that suggest missdirection, and was great bluff.

1 - Anyone else notice the hostility in the commentary/casting crew? Sottle seemed to really hold Raven with contempt after Raven made several dubious remarks concerning in-game decisions. He started to loudly shut down every line of reasoning Raven introduced. Hard to watch.
2 - What an amazing Hearthstone match! Each game seemed to be decided upon complex in-game decision-making and not luck or inherent advantages in the deck matchups. We even got a comeback from 1 health. Bravo.

Viper could have won if just in the first game he waited and put down that stealth minion after the Explosive Trap was triggered. HunterAce didnt have an answer to a stealth minion. Also if Viper played that Azlina when he first got her, and he stole the Shudderwalk before HunterAce played him, probably would have guaranteed him the win too.
