It made the corruption easier to deal with, but I was still annoyed, so I abused the power of the heavy workbench to make statues spelling out 'SEND NUDES', which I placed over every corruption biome. If it's going to try and destroy everything I've ever built, the least I can do is lower its land value

Melee: Crimson. The only aspect corruption has over crimson for melee classes are the chain Guillotines. Bladetongue is obviously very good in early hardmode, the vamp knives despite the Nerf are still better than the SotC, the BoC buff makes it pretty much equal to the worm scarf, flesh knuckles are just all round great and of course, ichor flasks are too good. Ranger: Corruption. Putrid Scent let's you craft the stalkers quiver and recon scope. Cant do that with the flesh knuckles, can you? The only upside crimson rangers have are the ichor darts and bullets. And most rangers just use the stormbow anyway. Mage: Crimson. Golden Shower. Nuff said. Summoner: Either
Tbh i always play expert so although with melee and ranger play throughs i have done both i always found myself replacing the brain of confusion very quickly but would never get rid of the worm scarf even though ichor is very useful for both classes
I like the corruption better simply because of the aesthetic. The crimson just freaks me out, but I actually really like the way corruption looks and sounds.
but honestly they are both really good but i like the crimson better since yoyos are op against most crimson enemies and yoyos are one of my favorite things in terraria
I really think that both biomes should’ve had hard mode bosses and no, I don’t think the destroyer counts as that’s just one of the mechanical bosses which is an essential fight and if it did count then the Crimson is missing a hardmode boss.

I think the Corruption is better simply because of the aesthetic. It's literally pure evil creeping, embedding, flowing into whatever it can convert, while Crimson is a bad creepypasta: just blood and gore. The Corruption also follows the music themings of the Hallow and Purity, using the same leitmotifs, but corrupting them. Also it's been around the longest and I'm attached
The freaking sountrack while on a crimson biome and the weird bloody monsters freaked me out. Especially when I play the game for the first time, I got into the crimson biome. As soon as I hear the soundtrack and how the background changed from normal to bloody, I immediately ran away. Plus a face monster was following me at that time.

The crimson is just creepy. The theme of the underground makes me want to have a seizure. The corruption is less creepy and more relaxing and fun, the theme for it is good as well, I even have a corruption music box next to my lunatic cultist Pixil art. So yeah, #TeamCorruption

You have to take damage to MAYBE inflict confusion may I add that very little mobs can be inflicted confusion? Like 90% of the mobs in Terraria are immune to Confusion, so the Brain of confusion is bullshit. And if we all were inflicted with Terraria’s Confusion, we would have a horrible time trying to walk but nothing else.

Crystal bullets are always good against the tree mechanical bosses since they are bigger than most bosses, so the 3 shards can hit them easily dealing more damage.
Fun fact: When you are making a world, the random option for world evil is slightly biased towards crimson, specifically it's 5% more likely to be chosen than the corruption. This was to encourage people to try the crimson, but was never removed.

imho the brain should be changed to something that increases all damage dealt by 17%, keeping with the idea that corruption items favor a less aggressive playstyle and crimson favoring more aggression
That is REALLY OP for endgame players, maybe 8% increased damage and 8% increased melee speed would be better... Stack that up with some Fetid Baghnakhs and you got a savage weapon >:D

The only time i'll consider choosing corruption is when i'm in expert mode, and i'm a summoner. The worm scarf will be great, Ichor won't be useful because of summoner purposes. Other than that i would pick crimson any day.

Another thing to note: crimsons enemies are very uncanny and creepy for people with Arachnophobia, fear of gore, and blood.

You will be more time in hardmode than pre-hardmode in most worlds, so i think crimson is better, vampire knifes put worm scarf and ASA on the ground.

Crystal bullets are always good against the tree mechanical bosses since they are bigger than most bosses, so the 3 shards can hit them easily dealing more damage.
Fun fact: When you are making a world, the random option for world evil is slightly biased towards crimson, specifically it's 5% more likely to be chosen than the corruption. This was to encourage people to try the crimson, but was never removed.

Prestigous Nine i played crimson first..... the face monsters made me think that terraria is a scary game
imho the brain should be changed to something that increases all damage dealt by 17%, keeping with the idea that corruption items favor a less aggressive playstyle and crimson favoring more aggression
Definitely my opinion as well, it seems that the corruption is a bit more focused on defense and mages, but Crimson is attack and warriors

The only time i'll consider choosing corruption is when i'm in expert mode, and i'm a summoner. The worm scarf will be great, Ichor won't be useful because of summoner purposes. Other than that i would pick crimson any day.

Corruption: better for summoners and sorcerers
Crimson: better for meele and rangers. As a sorcerer i should've chose corruption but i like both. The overall theme, aesthetics etc - corruption, mobs, gameplay - crimson.
Actually, there isnt anything good for summoner in corruption, qnd life drain is better than clinger staff in most situations, so flip those.
