  • What happens when you fall from a Tethrd Mantis?
For the past year we have been testing our products according to ASTM and TMA standards. Here are some of the results of this testing. We are not certified by the TMA.
Hunting from Tethrd equipment remains the safest and most efficient way to hunt from an elevated position!

Great job, on testing the equipment. This just give people confidence. Its important to know and trust the equipment you use, so when your going up "X amount" of heights you'll have complete trust in it.

A little late to the game on this video. I’ve been saddle hunting for a while now. I also rock climb. I think the conversation needs to be had that just because amsteel doesn’t break, it doesn’t mean your body won’t. It’s good stuff and love it. But I would never want to fall on it. There’s a reason why climbers use dynamic ropes that stretch instead of extremely static materials such as dyneema. I’m curious how much force the dummy encountered during these falls.

I can’t wait to get mine. I ordered back in late February 2019. I’m sure I’m in the short rows of waiting now.

Did you happen to tensile test at cold temps? I expect it to be close to ambient results but most hunting happens around or below freezing. Or what is the cold rating of amsteel vs ambient.

What were the results on the Predator?

1,100 or 1,200 lbs. I'd have to look at the results. Regardless, in the tree stand world, they deal with a safety factor of two. A 300 lb tree stand has to pull to at least 600 lbs. We could put a 500 lb or 600 lb weight limit on the Predator if we wanted.

Shouldn’t the title be, “What Happens IF You Fall”? Be safe!
