I was going up there saved during the year 1986 in April I have continued with my walk with Christ this whole journey and music has been a big part of my life singing and playing guitar well more beating on the guitar than playing but I'm very thankful that they chose to venture out because in that old high school gym some 37 years ago I gave my life my heart my everything to Jesus so I have a special place for Mr lefevre. Thank God for him. I recently began listening to his music again as I did so many years ago over and over again as it ministered to me and got me through things and times I shot myself in the foot and the music pointed me right back to Jesus and I've recently began listening to it again and it still has the same effect maybe a little deeper. So blessings Mylon.
The first time I heard this song I was 10. I am now 65 and I cry every time. Thank you Lord for your gift of Salvation. Thank you Mylon for stirin’ up the convictions. ☺️
Beautiful. I can hardly believe that you wrote this at 17! I guess when you sing this now, HE reminds you "without Him you would be hopeless and .....". so sweet to hear this later in my life. Brings me to reality... Thank God we are FREE! Hallelujah !!

At the MidSouth colloseum in Memphis, they built a 1 way mirror room so that Elvis could listen to all of his favorite gospel singers during the Quartet convention. He didn't want the show to change in any way based on peoples knowledge of his presence. He was there one night, when the Lefevre Singers did this song, featuring the young singer Mylon. Elvis said, "I want to do that song....and he did!"
Thank you for posting this here. Some of this I didn't know. Him and his band were one of my favorites back in the 80s/90s and I still enjoy listening. Awesome band and to learn of all Mylon has done and about his life is inspiring.
Mylon' songs are beautiful with rhythm and elegance and are so pleased by eres and will be echoed with our hearts for long time. This is the power of Jesus to him and changed his life and let us to enjoy the songs for long. We are a country of Christianity. Because of the loving spirit of the bible, the slave system was eliminated for good. Because of the loving spirit of the bible, people will love one another and help each other. Our country's Christianity is the power to against the ideologies and balance our society in a good way and a good order. The beautiful Christian songs will constantly achieve the big effect of the mighty power of Jesus.
As we know the men here and the ones mentioned below agree on one thing, Without Jesus, you can do nothing. NOTHING Brother Hughes? What about breathing? Who put the oxygen in the air? TRULY WITHOUT HIM, we can do NOTHING! And his website says it all. JESUS IS LORD. And without Him, how lost you will be. But with Him: Peace, Joy, Abundant Life and Heaven. YEAH JESUS!
guauuu,,,l always sing this song in my mind, in spanish version, cristo, oh cristo, le conoces tu a el, no te apartes de el. oh cristo, oh cristo, sin el, perdido estare. there're song whose mark ourselves eternally, just say how l love you Jesus.
If you give what you have to YHVH/Y'SHUA, He will multiply what little you have and make it plenty. Your music, your personal gift from God, music or mercy, love, hope, ministry. Give it to Him. I'm not saying it is the easiest road in the beginning, there are battles that are meant to strengthen. you. The evil will come against you and YHVH/Y'SHUA will give you more stewardship as you show you are able to win the little battles, which feel so big as you go through them. I am being streight up. I'm talking about addictions, compromise. He doesn't expect us to overcome without him but sometimes He lets us be tested to get from Egypt to the promised land. As Joshua said, these battles are our bread in Exodus. Glory be to God, Halaluyah, Christ is able, It is His grace and His Righteousness we put on.
Guys Mylon wrote that song for Elvis Presley when only have 17 years old. Elvis gain several Grammy Awards with Christian CDs. He never win a award with secular music only with Christian Music, and Elvis Father was a Pastor. he rise on a Mission Board Churck. Unfurtenly he lost the path.
Mylon did not write it for Elvis. Elvis heard Mylon & his group singing it & he asked permission for & paid Mylon to record it himself. After that, Mylon did slip & went into hard rock & drugs, but he came back to the Lord, did Christian rock w/his band Broken Heart, then returned to gospel before going into ministry.
Probably the most genuine and talented gospel singer I have heard. He is sincere and anointed.
Well done, good & faithful servant. R.I.P. 🥹🙏🏻✝️❤️

David Sanchez., He didnt write the song for Elvis. Elvis just happened to be one of the people that recorded the song. Big difference.
Elvis didn't sing that song because he liked it...he picked it cause he needed a good song to sing............gotcha.
I would like to buy a “cd”of this , does anyone know where I can find this please?
