For years I watched my grandmother make jams and jellies she would seal the tops with paraffin because we would go through those jams like a hot knife through butter. Then I grew up and made my own. One of my favorites was grape jam. I decided to use green grapes, But I peeled the skins off after stewing them, and it took a lot of grapes to make grape jam without the skins. It took a lot of sugar and a few sour apples. The green grape jam was awesome! My neighbors rcv'd their own jar and wanted more!
