Saw him do this in Llandudno then Dundee on the 'Ringleader' tour. In my darkest sweet sadness he reaches me with the love of a supreme artist. His existence honours this human life we all share.I haven't had too many sherbets I just believe he is the Greatest Living Artiste. We have some mutual acquaintances. Is that why you swerved me when you got off the tour bus ( at both venues) ? But for everything else, thank you.
This is the most heartbreaking song I've ever heard by Morrissey. He's made some heartbreaking songs in the past. This song makes me tear up. I can relate. It hurts to my gut. It's personal.
simply unspeakable, words do not reach the feelings that this song and its interpretation reach. simplesmente indescritível, palavras não alcançam os sentimentos que essa canção e sua interpretação atingem.
I'm probably gonna be lynched now but know that I say this as a fanatic Smiths and Moz adorer; I simply couldn't help but burst out in laughter when he sings those four words again and again. I couldn't stop. Something to do with all the dramatic build up (glass clinking etc.) and then those four words and him in his gloriousness. LOVE IT but you gotta laugh! My eyes are still wet. I know some of you will understand. Those who truly get him anyway.
I like to think he intends it that way, I love it, something really fantastical then its life is a pigsty which is really the opposite sentiment to what you would expect from the build up, how can it not be funny, so inspirational, I find the song very comforting, I feel its saying life is a pigsty but that's ok, and there is even something lovely about it being that way.
The keyboardist turned it into an american anthem in the end? Can you hear it? Listen. :) Amazing. Fascinating. I love Morrissey with all my heart. I promise. I watched this video for like a whole hour.
@m0zc0re You know something? I think I'm wrong. Yeah, I think it's just a celebratory song that is mostly sung on New Years or at weddings and such. I personally always confused it with/as one of the American anthems besides the main one. After some thought, I don't think that's quite accurate. I correct myself and apologise. I will say this however, that this is the only other time I've seen Morrissey use that song since "Sing me to sleep" by the Smiths. They do the same thing at the end there.
I saw him performing this song live in Helsinki 2009 and I had the most emotional time I ever lived in a concert. I started to cry like a child.
I think he can truly express how we all sometimes feel as humans. Sad lonely helpless and afraid.
seen the dude in San Jose recently. Original rock star poet. Dylan of our generation. And if you don't know this, then what do you know?
That piano at the end is the greatest ending to be one of the most depressing songs.
God yes, so beautifully chilling & profound and then that steel death wobble thing at the very end
Thank God this song is recorded. I want to hear it again and again forever.
One of his very best.

I always burst out laughing with all of his lyrics, especially when I sing along, but this is the only of his songs that I find truly depressing.
Magnificxxxxxx🔥🔥✨

Awesome....
Esta no es una canción , es una canalización espiritual...
Yo estuve ahí.
👍👍👍👍
@AchhmedTony "Auld Lange Syne" is an American anthem? Good to know.
were he meets wilde
@1415913g
Let me guess you, you don't like it?
Is his shirt all sweaty or is that just the color of his shirt? If that is the color of his shirt, I don't like it because it looks all sweaty.
No, its not the color, the shirt is sweaty.
Yum, lol. Can't believe you don't appreciate the sweat.
Morrissey's apotheosis.
la vida es una porqueria
