@@laventor2479 Tolkien never specified how large the dragons were he only used vague terms, but Ancalagon the Black (largest dragon of Middle Earth) was said to have crushed the Towers of Thangodrim when he fell upon them. I don't know how large the Towers of Thangodrim were exactly, but I heard from somewhere that each was around 3000m or 10,000ft tall. (Even though they're called towers, they really are just 3 active vulcanos created by Morgoth and held together by Morgoths power) it also isn't specified how far they are apart but it was said that Angband, Morgoth's stronghold was within the Towers of Thangodrim, it could mean underground, but it is more likely that Angband was situated inbetween the Towers of Thangodrim. Considering this and that the Towers were extremly resiliant, because they were powered by one of the Aratar (the 8 strongest Valar), infact Morgoth was considered the strongest of the Valar (it's mentioned in the first chapter of the Silmarilion), Ancalagon must have been gigantuan (?). To sum it up: Ancalagon could have been around the size of the Towers of Thangodrim or slightly smaller, but still around the size of a medium sized mountain (maybe 1500m or around 4500ft)

He probably is Tolkien really over exagurated with his Dragons. I mean in his books Smaug is described as one of the smaller dragons.

Поясняю эти "стрелы" делали специально против драконов но их производство было очень дорогое и делались очень сложно поэтому их так мало.
