Used to work on a second hand book stall in Bury Market back in the 1980's and there was a box of cowboy books. Customers would come and say, 'Have you got any good cowies?' Never read them at the time but this year started reading Louis L'Amour. Great fun reads. Best wishes.
No biggie Shawn 😊 it’s hard to remember every channels name. And yes, great book but that’s not what she looks like, lol. I’m rereading Comanche Moon and Lonesome Dove. Maybe the first Sacketts.
I thought you could have at least mentioned Dorothy Johnsons name, given you used (probably) her most well known dialogue in your title. Besides The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, other short stories of hers made iinto movies include A Man Called Horse & The Hanging Tree. There's a really good documentary about her available on PBS. She managed to write westerns in the 40s & 50s with zero racism & sexism. She should be better remembered.
I was not referring to her specifically. It was used as a general statement about westerns. For those that might catch the reference and the title of Eyman's bio of John Ford.
I like so much "June on the range" ... from France, amicalement, Roland.
So looking forward to this 😊

They are fun reads. Thanks for watching video and commenting.
I'm looking forward to participating in June on the Range.
I have a handful of Westerns ready to go!
Wonderful. I hope you enjoy the stories you have chosen.
RIDE THE WIND was a helluva novel. The author researched it very well. I read it long ago and it was well worth the time.
Cool. Thanks. It looks like romance. Happy it's more than that. I up for anything Cynthia Parker related.
I'll be participating for the first time. Should be fun.
Fabulous. I hope you enjoy your reading.
I just acquired a Louis L’Amour and a Zane Grey, firsts for me! 🤠🐴
Cool. I hope you enjoy them. I like Zane Grey better.
@@ShawnDStandfast I’ll let you know!
Always a great event
It is indeed.
Yeehaw. 🤠

I want to read some Zorro! I do have one on Kindle!
The original Zorro books are fun.
@@ShawnDStandfast Do you have The Mark Of Zorro?
I don't have any of them here. I used to have several years ago.

@@ShawnDStandfast her words have become part of the lexicon. Maybe that's remembrance enough.
