    I was actually hopeful that hero talents would focus more on support not adding dps so im actually glad Herald of dawn as a talent for WoG.

    Never played Ret before, thinking I’m gonna alt one in 11.0

    Both look really good. Herald of the sun definitely looking like the go to spec for M+. Being able to pseudo offheal with the beams in melee comps seems like its gonna be really nice utility to go along with divine storm heals. Beta cant start soon enough

    I mostly play M+ and I'm regularly healing myself with WoG, and there's so many healer checks in M+ that i would love to be able to help the team get through. Templar does look like more DPS but Herald looks really valuable

      Absolutely... Personally I'm happy to have additional healing and utility in the Hero tree. We'll see how the numbers shake out in the days to come

    Hi zuco! will you review devastation evoker hero talents?

  • @LordHypnos4

    Considering you have that choice node that gives you a chance when your dots deal damage to give you a mega juiced hammer of wrath its probably the correct pick to take Templar Strikes to give yourself another dot. All of them get buffed by wake with the talent burn to ash looks so fun to play. Templer Strikes dot is radiant damage as well meaning the right side capstone Searing Light is going to be going off a lot more in single target, nice QoL thing. You probably also want to take Templar Strikes if you're going with Divine Hammer to generate hp as much as possible. Gosh dang theres so many different ways talents synergize now its like night and day with how ret released in dragonflight. I am so excited to try it out

    • @ZucoWoW
      @ZucoWoW  Месяц назад

      True!

    • @emetsalt2678
      @emetsalt2678 Месяц назад

      You do not pick Templar strike for anything, CSaa gives you much more holy power overall and during the divine hammer window ( which is a pseudo breath of sindragosa, sucks playstile wise as is just spamming builders ) you will be spamming more important builders than Templar strike, overall you are just losing value as a whole, TS( Templar strike) is still useless

    • @LordHypnos4
      @LordHypnos4 Месяц назад

      @@emetsalt2678 this is all theory. Clearly they are taking efforts to make Templar strikes more appealing with the dot synergies, the fact that it deals holystrike and radiant damage meaning you could potentially adopt a left-right capstone build which wasn't appealing before, and it is possible that based on tuning they may make divine hammers want Templar strikes instead. I hope they do I really love that ability and I'm almost positive that the talents Blessing of An'she and Burn to Ash alone will make it pickable if you're playing herald, if not optimal. I'll be trying it out regardless

    • @emetsalt2678
      @emetsalt2678 Месяц назад

      @@LordHypnos4 First of all
      The left side of the tree and the right side of the tree have always seen play
      Idk what you on about, they are just used in either ST or AoE and that is not going away, second of all, TS still doesn't make while you want divine hammer because is not enough holy power generation compared to the auto attack talent, and third, the burn dot style still flows a lot better with CSaa
      What you are forgetting here is that the first part of the TS combo is extremely low prio, and that hasn't changed, other builders are just better

    • @LordHypnos4
      @LordHypnos4 Месяц назад

      @@emetsalt2678 What I think you're missing here is that I said this is all theory. Do I know what is going to be most optimal? No. And neither do you. Are they done with ret paladin yet? Are they done with their hero talents? They've said multiple times that they want to make the more complicated talents the more optimal ones, and the choice between CS and TS is exactly the opposite. So I'm sure they are still working on ways to make that more appealing.
      When it comes down to hp generation during divine hammers, every single video I've seen of people using it have always run into a situation of abilities being on cooldown even with the cooldown reduction. My thought process is that with TS you have on demand hp generation that allows you to extend the DH window as long as possible. Since you are not using any gcds on finishers during this window it is more valuable to have on demand hp generation that also benefits from the cd reduction. Depending on haste CS is one hp every other auto attack which could be less than what TS offers. Don't know, haven't tested it yet.
      When it comes to the dot build, how can you say it flows a lot better? Have you played it? And that would just be a matter of opinion anyway. What I'm saying is I think it would be more damage than CS because of the synergy between Blessing of An'she proccing more frequently from the presence of another dot on the target that wouldn't be there if you didn't talent into TS, and that Burn to Ash gets increased value from another dot being present on the target. Once again I'm not sure what the most optimal talent setup is but its clear to me they are trying to lessen the gap in power between these two talents. Have they reached that goal? Once again I don't know, thats why my original comment is just throwing out ideas because I'm excited about all the new options.
      For clarification, when I said the right and left capstone talents I meant taking them in conjunction at the same time. With both Final Verdict and Executioner's Sentence being nerfed maybe that frees up talent points to use them in ways that haven't been appealing before. Unless you're saying that people have been running Divine Arbiter and Searing Light at the same time on live in which case I don't know what you're on about because I've never run across anybody using that talent setup. Maybe that will help Ret's problem of having to choose between aoe and single target and sacrificing one or the other. I'm excited to test it out.
      I'm happy with whatever steps they take to make TS a more compelling option because the fact that CS is so much better is annoying because it is an extremely clunky talent that does not flow well at all imo. Having to either keep track in your head when you're going to get hp off your autoattacks or having to rely on a wa to do it for you is frustrating and it leaves you with periods of downtime which is what I liked least about ret before the rework.

    losing crusaders reprieve as a class talent doesn't look nice. i'm gonna miss that 3 yards

    • @ZucoWoW
      @ZucoWoW  Месяц назад +3

      Yeah, it's gonna make a difference for your melee's, but, consider how much of your damage is actually auto-attacks. It's not that much.
      Blade of Justice, Judgement, Final Verdict, and Hammer of Wrath are ranged. Divine Storm has a big hitbox. Wake of Ashes is maybe the only real ability you have to worry about when it comes to range.
      Even with this loss, Pally has some of the best range compared to every other melee. Only Survival Hunter is really better now. Rogue is also losing their range in TWW.
      I know it sucks, but this really helps to even out the melee specs in TWW. Right now Rogue's, Pally's and Feral Druids are standing 10 yards away from mobs doing more damage then Enhancement Shaman's who have to stand under the bosses butt to do anything.

    so... herald of the sun was in permanent wings. Like literally you were in your permanent CD mode....

    • @LordHypnos4
      @LordHypnos4 Месяц назад

      Yeah the talent that gives you wings on wake also gives you a chance to proc wings when spending hp its probably just overtuned now

    • @Boss-ot1iy
      @Boss-ot1iy Месяц назад

      @LordHypnos4 Not even close to overtuned. It used to have wings at 100% uptime and then kept stacking haste. Lvlidan did a showcase of it and his haste stacked up to over 150% now it doesn't. I believe they even said they're changing how wings functions and want it to be a good chunk of the gameplay. They just may nerf wings itself a bit

    • @LordHypnos4
      @LordHypnos4 Месяц назад +1

      @@Boss-ot1iy it kept stacking haste because he was using crusade and each proc would extend his ten stack. I saw the video. I meant overtuned in how long wings last as in it's still basically 100% uptime but if they plan to make that the case and make it weaker or something that's fine

  • @Hyujin971
    @Hyujin971 Месяц назад

    I'm thankful for the video and the chance to see these fancy new builds in action, that is really cool. Love the new visuals for paladins.
    However it's your second video that i watch and i can't help but be bothered by the amount of approximative, sometimes just plainly wrong information you say.
    As an example : you are saying that a ret with Radiant Glory will always get full benefit of Morning Star, since you get a stack every 5 seconds while Wake of Ashe's cooldown is 30 seconds. That is simply not true as in 30 seconds you get 6 (30/5) stacks of Morning Star, while the effect can stack up to 10 times.
    You're also saying that Second sunrise's effect was a legendary Shadowlands effect. You're probably mixing up with Final verdict because no legendary memory gives that effect.
    And that is just as example of what i caught with surface ret knowledge, as i am a sham main (and won't comment on the sham vid).
    My point is your videos are pretty cool but they could be even better if you get your facts right, and your nerd audience will thank you.

    Paladin looks amazing, but the insane amount of players maining it now and most likely even more in TWW isn't making it appealing for me to play one, lmao

      Ret was always the most popular modern wow spec, it was never that good to play at high levels, this changed after rework tho, though people playing the spec should not stop you from playing it, if you want something rare tho, play feral/ww
