Fuji and Nikon Lenses suitability for IR and UV Photography Test

  • A test of a few different Fuji X mount and Nikon lenses, looking at their suitability for infrared and ultraviolet photography. I look at whether each lens has an infrared hotspot, how much ultraviolet light the lens passes, and how much focus shift the lens exhibits in IR and UV.

    Lenses tested in the video are:
    80mm f/5.6 EL-Nikkor
    Fuji 50-230mm at 50mm
    Fuji 50-230mm at 230mm
    50mm f/2.8 EL-Nikkor
    Fuji 27mm
    Fuji 16-50mm at 16mm
    Fuji 16-50mm at 50mm
    Nikon 70-300mm VR at 70mm
    Nikon 70-300mm VR at ~200mm

    Thanks! very helpful... which uv pass filter did you used for the uv photographs?

      +Orion17 Thanks, I used the Baader U "Venus" filter for the UV images.
