- My third commentary, which I hope stays up! This is one of my favorite episodes of KvS. The video is my own audio commentary on S1E04 of KvS, talking about the episode, telling stories, trivia, and more.
Thank you to the Foy Information Desk.
Please tell me what you like and don't like about this.
these r awesome!!
Thank you Kenny!!
Very based

@@426wookie lmao.. 🤦🏼
The hotdog guy is also in hospital scrubs. I like to imagine he's a nurse on his break, hustling hotdogs to make some extra cash.
If anyone was wondering, I can confirm that it is absolutely possible to poo standing up. It requires some effort to squeeze it past your cheeks, and it plops very hilariously when it lands.
"What does it say about a man, that he can't even hang himself in his own closet?" Lmao
Dude you must be a mind reader, I quite literally just got home from work, was watching some Kenny VS Spenny, and was thinking "It's probably around that time of the month for Spamerica to release a new commentary." And here you are ☝️
Enjoy!! I love when that happens.
Are you saying ben has a "time of the month"?
Lmao thanks for calling the hotline :D
The debate is still on in 2022!
Dude thank you so much for producing the best Kenny vs Spenny content outside of the show itself. You're a legend!
i appreciate the fuck outta the fact that you actually tried to recreate the itching powder "competition". Great video as always!
Downloaded right away.
Such a great bit.. calling that expert line lololololol
Yesss!! I love these commentaries! It's so great seeing other people that love this show as much as I do lol. Keep them coming!
I can't believe u called haha good job with these man
Glad to be here before there's a random, inexplicable copyright strike that spoils the fun.
Can't wait to hear the commentary on Mr Dope: The Most Learned Man.
This is one of those things I hit like on before even watching. Great as always!!!!!
The hot dog scene is even more absurd when you consider the location. It's at Pharmacy and McNicoll in North West Scarborough. If you drive North another three minutes you'll be in Markham. What the heck was Spenny doing so far uptown? Also why is there a hot dog stand at a random uptown intersection? I can't imagine it would get much foot traffic given three out of four corners of the intersection have nothing going on.
Hahah, I noticed that on the location map but didn't mention it. Right?? It's so crazy. My best guess is that Spenny wanted to go to a hot dog stand, because it had the word stand in it or something, and someone on the production mentioned that there's some weird guy they see selling hotdogs on their commute into the city. So, Spenny went there because the work was done for him, and didn't give it a second thought.
@@Spamerica It would take at least 30 mins to get there and they don't show Spenny standing in the van at all. Are there any other locations in the episode in the area? I don't think so. Something's fishy haha
literally, one of the most learned men ever!
I’ve been binged ur kvs retrospective last night and ur commentaries today- I think ur voice narrates my thoughts now😅
yesssssssssss another one, thank you for continuing to do these
Spamerica out here grinding out content for those of us on hard times. Now I have something to watch when I get to work later and for that I thank you
Glad it's back up
another commentary soon?
Got a lot going on Cam, but I want to!
Excellent work as always
YOOO introducing even more people into the legendary standing debate amazing idea
Fingers crossed we get more of these, they’re so good
Thanks Scott! I have ideas, just super swamped. Stay tuned!
The one where Kenny had the sushi eaten off his ass is a pretty bad second hand humiliation
True!
@@Spamerica also when Spenny gives Kenny a badet
These are great! Keep em comming ;)
7:27 - that call, lol
For the most part I find fan made commentaries not very good, and somewhat annoying.
However, this was great! Thanks for posting. I really enjoyed watching it.
Love this
Idk why spenny was so quick to be okay with making an exception for walking but not leaning.
Because he knew Kenny would use it to destroy him
As i could see Kenny had "Juckpulver" which would be german for itching powder. And as far as i know its made with the tiny hairs around the seeds of rose hips. Rose hips are pretty common where i live and as kids we used to break them open and dump the seeds and hair down each others shirts. Those hair are nasty little buggers
shit i remember that too
I am from Germany and our Version of KvS Was called "Elton vs Simon". They both were TV personalities from the same broadcaster so they knew each other. What made this Show so bad in my opinion Was that they both tried to be kenny when it came to thinking about clever tactics but ultimately failed doing so. Furthermore, competitions were very light hearted or straight up copied from the original. They soon changed the concept by having them perform a bunch of mini competitions in Front of a live audience with the loser doing an already prepared humiliation.
Good info! I have seen clips of the live segment, I don't speak German so it only sort of made sense. Did they "copy" KvS, scene for scene, like some of the others?
@@Spamerica Not exactly. Some scenes were inspired, like when they visited a sleep Research Center in "Who can stay awake the longest " or one of them choosing to go to the gym during who can gain more weight. You can tell they copied some elements but they played out the scenes naturally.
Geez, Elton vs. Simon was so booooring, especially once you've watched just a single episode of our beloved original.
I think many broadcasters from other countries never understood the magic of the interactions between Kenny and Spenny, and that the most funny moments of the show are due to the extremely contrasting personalities of both of them.
"The second thing that's going on is the argument over authority. Spenny, Kenny, Jack Dope, Goldfield, the hot dog guy, the gymnast, the guy from Merriam Webster Dictionary are all in contention as subject matter experts in the episode, and one of my favorite things about the episode is just the range of personalities in that list, like it's particularly hilarious."
These are barely commentaries and more like Pauline Kael-quality video essays. I really hope you keep putting these out and continue making us all feel a little less alone for our near-pathological appreciation for the show.
There's perhaps a bizarre meta-irony going on in that it takes an obsessive and Spenny-like quality to enjoy the show as much as many of us do. Fucking scary hall of mirrors.
Thanks for the kind words. It's really tragic- the more I gaze into the Spenny abyss, the more it gazes back into me.
Alright, let’s think of it this way:
How do you stand up something like a painting? You hold it up or you lean it on a wall.
Kenny is supported.
This episode is actually the perfect introduction to the show. If you know someone who is interested in watching the show, tell em to watch this one first.
If you lie down, but have your feet on the ground, it's 180 degrees, if you lean against a wall you are leaning at 90 degrees. So it's somewhere between that. You could, for example put a mattress against a wall and prop it up at say 70 degrees and sleep michael jackson thriller style.
I think the lady at the James E. Foy Information Desk was just being intellectually difficult about definition.
In my head, Nathan Fielder from Nathan for You settled down into a simpler pastime, making Kenny vs Spenny content on RUclips.
This is a huge compliment, I love Nathan for You.
@@Spamerica Agreed, amazing show. Anyone who enjoys KvS would probably find a lot to like in 'Nathan For You'.
Are there any other shows that have a similar energy to KvS for you? Tom Green Show, Impractical Jokers to an extent, Eric Andre Show are in the ballpark.
@@YoungUnicorn Not a show, but the movie Windy City Heat. Also, the Joe Schmo Show.
Is this what its like to be subscribed to the hub on premium?!
Im gonna need a sock
Ohhh nonono not 6 inches, it was 4 inches, and kenny makes always the same joke out of it!!!
My favourite character is the Drill Instructor from the solider episode. The Drill Instructor is absolutely hilarious. The Most Learned Man is the best single scene character.
Anonymous crackhead is mine.
ooouutstanding!
It's back! :o
Why did Breakthrough Entertainment strike this video in the first place?
I don't know. They learned nothing from the last video. I think they just see the title and assume I did a re-upload.
@@Spamerica I see, meh -_-
Great video as always! Just wanted to let you know about Frank vs Girard. I'm from Québec and watched it when I was young. Both guys were actors and they copied a lot of gag word for word translated, except it was a looooooot more PG. The Girard guy in particuliar was acting really odd, and I realized later he was doing a Spenny impersonation.
I was really young when I watch them and only realized this retrospectively. They completely missed the point of the show.
Interesting! I haven't had a chance to give that a watch. Not that I'd understand it...
I think that the carpet itself was very wirey and itchy and with that powder, it probably took Spenny over the edge. It didn’t help that he was able to feel more vulnerable with Kenny not trying to punk him in any observable way.
Of we go by boxing rules, you can lean your weight into the ropes no problem, rope a dope is a real strat. Spenny says Raging Bull is the greatest movie ever, then he should abide that if in the ring a leaning boxer is still standing, it is totally comprehensive and acceptable a leaning competitor in this competition would still be standing.
"You never got me down Spenny....I never went down" - Kenny LaHottza
Germany: Elteon vs. Simon
The Foy-institute or whatever, was not convincing :D
from 10 mile race. NO HOSPITAL WILL LET YOU TAKE AN IV POLE OUT WITH YOU. Sorry if you've covered that.
The British version, Ed vs Spencer, was actually really good, if flawed.
I think it might have been during the Reddit AMA, Kenny acknowledged that they were the only pair that went all-out and did a good job in trying to replicate the show.
Ed was fantastic, but had to carry every episode because the KvS dynamic was not there. Spencer was simply too much of an average Joe.
If you're just a crooked person leaning on their own.....what lol?
Would it be possible to upload something like this on Spotify? I drive a lot for work and these would make time pass haha.
I have no idea how to do that, but I'll noodle on it.
@@Spamerica nor do I. I liked the bit where you called Foy, I never heard of the service before. Did you have to wait on hold for a while?
@@brad3950 Nope! They picked up very quickly. I even called at like, noon on a Sunday. It's an awesome concept, I bet it was even more useful before smart phones/centralized internet.
@@Spamerica yeah I read the program has been going on since the 50s. Suprised I've never come across it before. Seems like an interesting job too.
One correction that may need to be made: Jack may not be a one time character. He may be the old man in the sponge bath humiliation, not certain.
The German Version is so bad
