    I got my Yorkie, Bear, in May and he is almost 5 months old now. He’s fully house trained and only has barked a few times. I crate trained him from day one and now when I tell him to go to bed he goes into his crate. I do work from home so I can spend all day with him around me. I think this has helped with house training and obedience. He loves to go for drives to take my son to school and pick him up afterwards but if I need to go in to a store I leave him home in the crate and he gets extra cuddles when I get home. My main thought when I got him was just to treat him as I would a big dog instead of an accessory and it has been working out great so far. Love your Yorkie videos! 🐾

      Hi there:). It sounds like you have done an awesome job in training Bear. I agree that treating him just like he is a big dog is a great thing to do. I am so glad that you enjoy my videos, I have a really good time making them, and just always feel like I am talking to friends ❤️❤️❤️

    I work so much so am never able to see your videos when they post or comment when I want to but just want to say that you inspired me to keep two yorkies for companionship and to bring them with me to work. I work at home and have been for over 5 years so never even thought to let my dogs stay with me in the office. Out of all the yorkie videos, yours are my favorite especially because I also am into health and beauty. I have 5 kids, 3 dogs, and a cat now and surprisingly we all get along.

    I am a first time Yorkie owner. I adopted her when my BFF passed. My vets prescribed a Chewy for fleas and another for heartworm prevention. The chews are given the same day once a month, and they must taste good because she gobbles them up like they are a treat and wants more.

    Hi Megan, so nice to meet you! My husband and I are getting are baby Yorkie boy, tomorrow! {Reuben Reese} I lost my precious Loren, he was a Min Pin, on November 7th. He was my diabetic alert service dog for 10 years. I raised him from a puppy, he was 14 years old. It's taken me all this time, to be able to move forward. My blood glucose levels have been dropping into the 20's, extremely dangerous. I'll keep you posted on our training. Love, Angie & Reuben 🐶💙

You will be happy to hear that my breeder does not let the puppies go until they are 12 weeks old. I’ve learned so much from your videos and you have a very sweet personality! Love the names of your dogs, can you please give me some ideas for cute names for a male.

    My baby is about 6 yrs old and very smart, smart enough to be in charge of the house. At first we thought it was funny but not anymore. She can learn! She does go through spells of peeing in the house, especially when the weather is extreme. I am trying something new. When she goes out to potty and I see her do it, I meet her at the door with her treat and say "good potty." Don't know how this will work, but I'm going to try!

    I love your videos and have been binging on them. You mentioned Teddy had a neurological disease and I’m wondering if it was GME? My tiny yorkie was diagnosed last July and it’s been a very very rough road for her and myself. Truly heartbreaking to watch the disease progress. I’d love to have someone to connect with that has personal experience in dealing with neurological diseases because as I’m sure you know, there are a lot of modifications that need to be made to help them live the best quality of life they can. Please comment back❤

    • @MeganGraham
      @MeganGraham  9 месяцев назад

      Yes, he had GME. If I could do it all over again, I would have tested my home for mold with an ERMI test. (everyone thinks that their home does not have mold, but they are often wrong). I would have used all organic, clean low tox cleaning products and nothing fragranced in my home, and I would have gently detoxed Teddy. I really wish I knew then what I know now.

    Not everybody like my method of keeping my Yorkie from barking but it worked. I used A shock collar to stop her and it worked. I didn’t have it on 100 below 40 didn’t work for her but @40 did the trick. And I haven’t had to use it in her for years now all I have to say is “do you want shock?” If she’s doing something I don’t want her to do and she stops. She’s now 6 years old and she still remembers the collar I might’ve started using it on her @1years old or maybe even 6 months. I was living in an apartment. And didn’t want her aggravating people.

    I regret not to do enough research about nutrition, now I see all youtube videos from Dr. Karen Becker and I have been feeding raw food for the last 10 years, I also do everything holistic, my yorkies never had tick meds or even vaccines, they are house girls and only play with 3 other yorkie friends so I give them natural things, vets don't learn about nutrition in college so most vets recommend kibble, my vet accepts raw food and even helps with any doubt I might have in terms of phosphorus or vitamins.

    Hi Megan, I am new to your channel and I love your videos. I have a 2 year old yorkie called Rosie. Her nickname is 'rockstar' because her hair is always so wild and sticks up in the air, especially around the top of her head. I brush her every day, bathe every 10 days and groom every 10/12 weeks. Big but though grooming is always a battle as it's her least favourite thing so we only manage about 5/10 mins of brushing. I'm in the UK and am using a UK equivalent silky doggy shampoo/conditioner. No matter what I do though I just can't get rid of the straggly look. Any thoughts? Joyce x

    • @MeganGraham
      @MeganGraham  2 года назад +1

      Hi Joyce, I hope you are having a really good week. I'm not sure of how you can alleviate the scraggly look. Regular gentle brushing, a high quality diet (food grade, not feed grade), regular exercise, and a high quality shampoo and conditioner are key. Beyond that, every dog has different genetics, so some of it could be her hair too.
