    I'm full on obsessed with these and all of my daily books and diaries now have like 4-5 each making these amazing jingling decorations spilling out of all of them. I should add I'm using them in research books so these require more than one bookmark. In the past I'd use post it's or post cards, but now I type my notes and mark the page with these!!!

    If you put the point of your scissors in the loop of the knot, you can slide the knot up and down the string. When you get the knot where you want it, pull out the scissors and tighten the string. I hope that is a bit clearer than mud! Love the charms!

    Hi Ali, beautiful bookmarks and I will definitely be making some of these with my homemade beads. FYI from a veterinary technician, it would behoove you to make sure your cordage is kept away from your cat because it is actually deadly for them if swallowed! If your lucky, the swallowed threads/cords will pass on through, but very often it gets caught and the intestines will "telescope" (or intususcept) on themselves and they die a very painful death! Unfortunately this is something I've seen more than once on dogs and especially cats who swallow needles and or threads, etc. So, everyone reading this Please share this info. with fellow crafters/sewers and feel free to discuss with your vet! Anyway, TFS such a cute project ;)!

    Lovely! I take that top loop on the bookmark and put it under one of the elastics before I attach my top charm - just so I don't loose my bookmark accidentally - I figure that loop under the elastic won't be as bad as when I hang a charm there ;)

    Hey Ali I know you made this video awhile ago but I was hoping you would help a girl out and give me your secret on how you decorated your leather journal? did you do it yourself? I've been searching and searching to find what inks and paints would work on my leather traveler's journal for a mixed media girl like ourselves ?? (I need to use something from my stash because I can't afford to spend money on special leather paints for one project) Do you have any ideas??

      Last night I came across a technique that might just work. I want my leather journal to have the same charm as my art journals (paint spatters, stamp and stencil work with colors everywhere but i still want people to know its leather) SO...Alcohol ink! lol. Since it isn't opaque you still get the loved worn leather look poking through the color. I greatly appreciate your response Ali, it means a lot! I watch RUclips so much it begins to feel like you all are celebrities (Can I get your autograph!?) lol. Sending much love your way

      EXACTLY! It was inane, irrelevant, annoying, time-wasting (and yes I did fast-forward plus playback @1.75 x normal speed). I'm too old to waste this much time waiting for the important points to be made--there's not that many years left. Self-immolation would have been a better use of time. Try rehearsing, planning...more professional presenting.

    • @sunsetsky594
      @sunsetsky594 4 года назад

      I disagree. Her styles is just different. There are videos that are like the instructions you get with a new product. And then there is the kind like Ali's that are just real and like a friend comeing over to show you new craft skill with a bit of chit chat thrown in. If she's not your style just move on to the next video. It doesn't mean she's bad at videos (I enjoy them, she's like a friend I can hang out with) she just has a different style.
