Mr. Chowdhury, to my knowledge this is a recording from a concert at Baroda Palace in the late 70s, where this Gaud Sarng performance was preceded by a memorable Bilaskhani Todi and a short-spanned Jaunpuri rendered in the 9 beat Matta Taal. The tabla accompaniment was provided by Anido Chatterjee.
Provenance is unimportant and irrelevant. We r grateful that such great music is made available to music lovers by SC RA HA and a few others. Thanks gentlemen. Regret I am unable to join U even though I as a near nanogenarian collector have some others but can’t upload due to lack of equipment and tech knowledge.
Sukanti Babu, You may be right. I have received recordings from different sources, and I will not be surprised if some of the information is incorrect.
