The BRICS Summit is set to be held between August 22 - 24 in Johannesburg, South Africa. The BRICS countries include China, Brazil, Russia, India and South Africa. The BRICS cooperation mechanism has made remarkable achievements, including cultural and people-to-people exchanges. One of world-renowned cultural icons from BRICS countries is maestro Valery Gergiev. He is one of the best conductors in the world today. As the artistic and general director of the Mariinsky Theatre, Gergiev has turned the Mariinsky with its centuries-old traditions into the world's most dynamic opera and ballet company. He has nurtured an endless stream of artists. All those years, Gergiev's international performances were no less intense. He has worked with most of the world's leading orchestras and has set up numerous international festivals. CGTN's Tian Wei visited maestro Gergiev backstage during one of his rehearsals. Their conversation started with tea and coffee.

Thank you for arranging this interview with Maestro Gergiev. He gracefully shares his views about music, peoples, cultural heritage which is precious. His insightful comment about to listen, perhaps disagree but never ignore is so much relevant and urgent to this world of political chaos. Music is global diplomacy, he stated, has so much truth in it. Thank you CGTN

Watch the Navalny documentary about his role in the Russian regime - you might rethink his contribution to humanity. Certainly will make a feeling heart bleed.

Music is our family and nothing could ever keep us apart anymore friends, music is universal, is eternal, music reminds us our human nature is going beyond human limits and our ...expiration date, therefore we have to stop wars and posessions disputes, music is the best evidence, Russia belongs to the world wide humankind heritage and no war hostilities could ever change this, music is healthy, mostly classical romantic Russian composers, music unites us like good siblings feeling just fine together, we have the scientific evidences by now how music is regenerating. Music is the best partner of life, no evil could ever dare to harm you if you have music to protect us. Web technologies are this powerful to unite us now, let's promote music instead of violence, hatred, hostilities and war disputes, murdering ourselves each other will bring no good to anyone, you can notice so well, even economical wars damage us all and financial wars are worst than an atomic bomb by now.. let's put the music above all so we could date and paaaarty, so we could find mutual interests, further projects to work on and never let any war dare to ruin our lives. Music is the best mass distraction weapon, music can make people forget frustration or hatred, rivalry or just bad times, music is our salvation friends. Classical composers used to be such visionary creators, only trying to imagine, how to put the motion pictures to a certain composition is already...a huge asset to carry on, another alternative way to create economical growth, freedom of expression and business opportunities. Walt Disney used very often classical music for his cartoons and still they worth a fortune, anything can become a Disneyland universe of welfare, if you have any doubt about it. Very nice interview, music raise people this wise clever and. .. human, good luck Maestro Gergiev & other hundred years more having fun performing and entertain us fans, that's what fans are for ❤

The Bach story, Maestro Gergiev is not that true, they used horses and carriages for traveling, since Confucius ages, merchants used donkeys and caravans to travel Far East and exchange inspirations, still today, if you move to Saint Petersburg or Leningrad, to check, what are you feel like missing as Italian that becomes the best import export business, the Silk Road spirit is that one, the composer Rimsky Korsakov created the famous Sheherazade's story, wish you guys enjoy it, once traveling was such a huge adventure, they needed months and years for traveling like reaching the ..end of the world, it's not like our lucky modern tourists, taking the airplane, within a cup of hours you can reach any location possible. Therefore musicians deserve to be loved like sports champions, having supporters interested to travel in purpose following them because that's how music inspire us. Not only Bach loved to travel abroad, we all know how genius artists loved to move all over the places seeking for new fantasies to put on notes. The most powerful Russian Empress Catherine the Great was born in Germany, they used royal marriages in purpose to stop war hostilities and... become family, let's remind true facts so no evil could ever keep us apart anymore

Conductor Gergiev's poignant observation that musicians have to listen to one another to make beautiful music is EXACTLY the philosophy that underlies Step One of the Peace Love and Progress Party's Global Peace Plan. That step calls for the creation of a Global Peace Net, the expansion and democratization of the United Nations News Agency and the bringing of it into every home on the planet 24/7/365 (in English, the world's most simple trade and port language) so as to eradicate every form of prejudice, educate the world's peoples and begin our unification.
