Seeing this teaser now, it's makes ALOT of sense. Their weren't only dropping what Tekken 8 would look like, they straight up showed the menu screen to us with no loss in quality. What we saw is what we got.

I called it, because Namco was super freakin quiet about Tekken 7 and 8 questions for a long ass time. Good to see the game is still kicking and punching.
I just bought 7 lol getting into Tekken so far its more refreshing than MK

You acting like this is something that no one expected. Tekken 7 been around for almost 8 years now and how Namco handles their games by releasing one major entry at a time, it would make sense to announce 8 now or in 2023. And Tekken 7 is the highest selling game in the franchise so why would Namco not make 8?
@@Xero_Kaiser thank you. It’s not like he actually called it most fans went into Evo expecting this because they already said 7 is complete so if the game development is now finished and it’s been 7-8 years since it first dropped, it’s obvious that they’ll announce a new game

speaking from after release, they fucking NAILED the promo cycle. the character teasers were so good peppered across the calendar. i went from "maybe i'll check out tekken 8" to buying on release date, ordering my first hitbox and learning reina like i've never learned any character before.
Just came from Tekken 8 opening movie plus Eddy dlc audience reaction whooooo so hype!!!

I bought Tekken7 last week and haven't been able to put it down. For a fighting game its very refreshing compared to MK11 and the latest SF

Also if they do make one, I don't want tag rage arts like tag super arts from street fighter, where one character does his and then he throws the opponent to the other for the other to do his/her.
I want both to do their rage arts at the same time, the character that has more hits in their RA do their hits while the other does his afterwards. For example, Jin and King, King does his elbow while jin does his fist, then jin does all his hits that he has in his RA, then king does his ender.
If that made sense.

I think it was more a transition showing how far we've made it in graphics and a rif on his classic smirk.
If you look closely (probably better to watch the raw video, not in the arena), Kazuya has his face scar, looks older, and has the red eye. The face scar and the red eye both came in Tekken 4.
Hence I think this is Tekken 8 also because the story and confrontation with Jin didn't get wrapped up yet.

Oh yeah I would most certainly love to see my main Feng again.
I feel very safe that he'll come back, if not in the base roster at the latest first season of dlc.
I also have a huge soft spot for Bryan and Dragunov who will both likely come back too.
I'd also like to see them take another try at Katarina, I really like her attitude, she just needs a lil extra sauce in her kit, but she's probably unlikely.
Kazuya was the good guy in the first tekken and will always be the good guy. Screw Jin

I mean, Kaz is my favorite but he wasn't the good guy at all. Maybe in T1 he was neutral and in the movie Tekken : The Motion Picture he was kinda an anti-hero type of character.
Although, if Heihachi was reedemable, then so is Kazuya. BTW. his eye blinking kinda reminds me of Angel.
