I have a question regarding the audio of the sentences - I want to put them in Anki with Migaku but it adds a computer voice instead of the audio recording from the voice actors. Is there any way to get the recordings into Anki? I am using Anki + Kanji God so I want to put the i+1 sentences from the course in an Anki Deck to learn Kanji at the same time. 😅
I personally hope so, but we don't want to leave other languages too far behind so there is a ton of work. But I do invest time here and there and in my free time to write on the lessons and get them done as soon as I can.
I keep seeing Migaku on vids and stuff and I'm curious... I like what I'm seeing, it's unquestionably the smoothest and nicest looking experience, at the least :D I am gonna give it a go!
In my opinion this is a very good way to learn Japanese ! If I have one thing to add to make that perfect is exercices ! Flash card is important, right. But for grammar Exercice can be really helpful ! For passing JLPT for example

I hope you can implement it soon :) I have been using this course for a few weeks and (for the words I can be bothered to lookup) going to an outside platform to check the pitch to what I'm hearing is a little bothersome. As an aside, can the pitch trainer be more accessible from the main site? Maybe I'm dumb and can not navigate to it from the homepage but I just resorted to googling it. As a final point, the whole platform is really coming together nicely and I don't really have any other complaints. I also make and save a few cards extra - as I'm going through the course you have made - and the functionality and form is amazing overall. Great work everyone!

Ich versteh wunderbar englisch und alle bisherigen Materialien die ich nutze (bis auf Heisigs RTK) sind auf englisch, aber ich merke doch, das es noch nen zacken besser geht, wenn ich direkt in der Muttersprache inhalte vermittelt bekomme. Heisigs Bilder für die Kana / Kanji funktionieren auf deutsch noch nen ticken besser, als auf englisch (auch wenn ich die komplett verstehe und das englisch an sich kein Problem ist!)
Love the course. Wish it didn't have so many typos though. It kinda feels amateurish especially for something that you're paying for. It's good that they're correcting it bit by bit when its called out though.
We can easily do that, as we have the data, we just decided not to do it for now, as that means we would double the amount of cards in the course, going from around 2000 to almost 4000 is a lot. If the feedback is that people want that, we can probably add it.
At least it actually functions like a Beginner's deck and actually teaches you Kana before anything else. Like the core basic of learning Japanese. Umida!
@@andreasstahl8207 Anyone can learn kana in a day or two. Learning Kana over the course of weeks by taking a few cards a day is asinine. Spam it until you are able to comfortably sight read kana instead of focusing on intimately remembering mnemonics.
Level 2 is not releaased yet. As for which level to start with in general, I can't give you an exact number right now. I used various lists to create the master grammar list and then sorted it by frequency, but I don't 100% know which Nx grammar points are covered in what level. I will sit down and go over it tho.

You can also create a free trial account because, obviously, seeing it for yourself is always going to be much better than me just talking about it. As for the differences and so on, yes, there are free resources for many things out there (and also "free" ones), but these require you to create your own study plan and learning materials, which often costs a ton of time. From personal experience, I invested a lot of time looking up grammar explanations, creating my own learning cards, and trying to add audio and images. This is all already done here. Obviously, I don't know which resource you are talking about, so I can't give you an exact comparison, but here are the main points: - Every sentence you learn only contains one new piece of information, which makes the learning process really smooth. Free resoruces like Tae Kim's are all over the place here and many sentences contain a ton of new words and what not. - The course is completely in our spaced repetition software, which means you don't have to worry about what to review when. You just have to show up and do your cards for the day. - The information is much more complete and in-depth than most (all?) free resources I know. - Every sentence has native audio and links to the lesson to refresh your memory. - We constantly update to add explanations to individual sentences when we get users' questions. - All words in lessons and cards are clickable to open a dictionary, making it easy to look up words you forgot the meaning of. - The advanced section often has information that even many advanced learners might not know. - We have many lessons that cover topics that I haven't seen covered in other resources. - Once all 3 levels are out, you can only use this course to pass the N1 as every grammar point and everthing you need to know will be covered. Nobody has to use this. People can try it out, and if they like it and see the value in it, then they can use it. If not, everyone can create learning materials for themselves if they invest the time. In the end, it is up to each individual.

We have people on Discord who are already over halfway through the course. The price is not only for the course but for everything we offer (extension, pitch trainer, tone trainer, Mandarin course, etc.). We will have everything covered, up to and including N1 material. We have plans to start creating our own "Graded Reader" material that will go alongside the course. So no, given all that, I don't think it is scammy. We do not try get people to subscribe with FOMO or any such tactics. What you see is what you get. I don't see how that's different from things like Bunpro or Wanikani. The idea to make the extension completely free came about when Lucas was working on it as a fun side project on his own. We've grown a lot since then, and so has the scale of our project. There are features that cost money to provide (AI integration, translations, storage for book syncing, etc.). We said we wanted to provide a free tier, and we stand by that. Once we have enough good features in our suite that a division between free and paid tiers makes sense, we will implement it. Nobody is forced to use our tools, and everyone is free to choose the resources they prefer, be they free or paid. The work of many people is involved in not only the course materials but also the extension, and people deserve to be paid for the amount of work (and overtime) they put in.

No, we offer free trials because people like to test things before they buy them, and I don't think the sunken cost fallacy plays a big role with a 10 day trial. I never buy services that I can't get a trial for, because I want to test it before I invest money, to see if it is for me and has what I want. Got luck to you as well!
This course is unfortunately not it guys. The main thing this course taught me, was how much better learning from authentic sources always is. Go lookup Japanese like a breeze if you want something that's free and significantly better. Migaku definitely does do what it does very well though, (grammar explanations, SRS, and 1 target sentences). It's just not authentic.
That doesn't say anything about why the deck you recommend is better than this 😅 It's just not 'authentic' what does that even mean in your mind? Are you better at Japanese than any of the crew in the Migaku team? If not, then why would your words strike better than theirs? You are not Japanese so why would we take your opinion to heart more than a team of actual Japanese learners that has reached a high proficiency in the language? There's no input from you what so ever why this course is not it... I watched a RUclips introduction of the deck you are talking about and even as a Intermediate learner starting a deck with Romaji for the word is the biggest no-go there is. The deck is also not produced by a Japanese person so how is this more authentic? Tae-Kim is also a very popular grammar source but to not say It's far from perfect and has an immense plot of holes in its structure would be very detrimental.

Migaku is a companion tool company, their number one goal has ALWAYS been to get you to learn through native sources, as was stated in this video. You seem to also be saying that it's better to learn from J-E speakers rather than E-J speakers, which I don't think makes any sense.

Sag niemals nie, aber wenn wird das wohl noch ein bisschen dauern. Ist halt kombiniert ein paar hundert Seiten text und das zu Uebersetzen dauert.

Its 10,000 hours since I started learning Japanese. I passed the N1 with around 4000 hours invested.
If i'm already done with n4 grammar and already studying n3 grammar should i start from level 1 or level 2 ?
