Why are you calling a talented child "prodigy"?
Well, we will see. But the boy will be feeling really embarrassed when he grows up and learns about all the unfounded publicity. There is a lot of work ahead, the future is not certain at all. Elisey Mysin, a true prodigy, played Nocturne by Chopin at age 5, this boy is not close.
Maybe you are right, and the blind promotion of the boy will pay off. But I doubt it. OK, we will sit modest and see if your kid catches up with my "ordinary", "non-prodigy" perfect pitcher.
Such self-promotion alienates other kids and their teachers and parents, and they are the future colleagues of your son, self-proclaimed prodigies who did not reach high get laughed at and bitterly regret their "claimed genius".
