7/10/2024 it still works. Jump from the corner of the platform. Took me a few tries but then on my last try I fell just to the right of the pillar in the sand and hit the ground and died. Started from the last stake of Marika in front of the boss area. Tricky but works!
19/08/24 still works(in converence mod), as cainfoe said, second jump after camera change, swing weapon in mid air, and avoid the pillar, i got it going by right side. (haven't tried it in vanila)

I did it before entering Liurnia. I've only talked to Blaithe the two times (at the forest ruins and after you kill the bloodhound knight). When I killed Radahn, Alexander and Blaithe were nowhere to be seen. So far I don't know what else has broken. I'm currently finishing up Nokstella.

One thing to note is that you have to attack a second after the second jump, otherwise it won't work (patch 1.10)

Nice! There is also a trick to active bonfires. Invade, exit and quickly switch to map and select any place to unlock it in your world. - in seemless-
