I hope they have resolve the spare parts problem. Proton does make decent cars but is always let down by its after sales service. I never can understand why Perodua can do such a decent job with its after sales service, yet Proton can't? I mean both are supposed to national car manufacturers, but one is so much better than the other.
Cokia car like perodua always got spare parts because its cokia..but premium brand like proton because of the quality, spare part is late and delays. same like merc, bmw, vw etc
I read in auto forums that spare parts is no longer an issue with Proton X70. So are you saying it is not true? I am considering buying the new X70 but if spare parts issue still persist, then I will not even consider it.
@@harry55t My sister just bought the Proton X50 RC. Her sales agent also said that officially the spare parts problem has been resolved. However, unofficially, he said not sure how true that is. However, my sister bought the X50 because it was within her budget and gave her the best bang for the buck. And she didn't like the Perodua Ativa. Funny thing, she traded in her 8 years old Honda City for the Proton X50, and twice, the sales agent kept asking her if she was sure that she wanted to buy the Proton. When my sister asked him why, he said that for many people, going from a Honda to a Proton is a downgrade, and that's why he wanted to make sure that she knew what she was doing. Interesting.
@@harry55tI own a 2019 X70. First 2 years always had no spare parts. Even spark plugs for regular service also don’t have. But that was the first 2 years. Ever since then never had an issue with spare parts and proceeded to buy an X50 for my wife also. Have no issue with spare parts for both my cars and for parts that are a little more out of the norm max waiting time is about 2 weeks

One issue for me is that they use the X50 cruise control which lack the cancel button. This cause the driver to rely on the brake pedal or shut off the cruise control entirely. Hope they can fix that.
The thing is, X70 was initially launched in 2018. But after almost 6 years Proton only did a facelift instead of an all new model change. And yet Proton management said they expect a 2000 units sale every month for this so called latest model. Are Malaysian that gullible?
I purchased the car. The Inteligent Cruise Control (ICC) is useless. Almost unusable. Not smooth. Brakes too hard. After one month, still no Apple Car Play. Servicing is every 6 months which is crazy on a new car. Engine is very smooth and it is quiet inside.
To me.... Having it 2wd all actoss the board is just dookie decision. ITS A BIG ASS CAR FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! WE NEED IT TO BE ALL WHEEL DRIVE FFS!!! ITS AN SUV.

spare parts are terrible. Simple gasket also cannot restock
