If it's a short sura, warning of the Day of Judgement and cursing those who won't accept the warning, it's an early Meccan sura influenced by St Matthew's Gospel and other Christian writings known to the Nazarene and Ebionite Christians around him at the time in Arabia including his wife's cousin Waraqa. If it's a long diatribe against the Jews, it's after Muhammad arrived in Medina in 622CE and got rejected by them. If, like Sura 9, it harangues men for not wanting to do jihad, it dates from Muhammad's assault on Tabuk in 630CE. Etc. Etc. Etc. The Quran always came down at his convenience to suit his purposes at the time. 😁

How after so many Quran reciters were killed in the Battle of al-Yamama, Abu Bakr was urged to start compiling the Quran and Muslims gathered up all the writings made on sticks and stones and bones etc and tried to compile them into suras. In the hadith, all the arguments among the compilers are described also. It's a Muslim problem recounted by Muslims. If you don't believe any of these Muslim hadith about Uthman burning all other variations then it's your problem. The myth of 'perfect preservation' came later.

Dear Muslims and followers of Islamic doctrine, Answer these findings if you can: It's not possible for you to provide the evidence for your 30+ different qurans as we can for His Word, the Bible. Many will make the claim that we have many different translations of the Bible. They do this without understanding that in those different translations there are no changes to any point of doctrine minor or major. Those Bible translations were developed so all could understand His Word. They were created so all could understand in their native languages. In all those translations nothing of His Word is changed to alter any of it's doctrine. His Word is as constant and unchanging as He is, (Mal 3:6, Rom 11:29 &more). That is nothing like the 30+ different qurans that alter many points of doctrine both minor and major, some 93,000+ differences have been found to date, more are still being discovered. (Isaiah 46:10) states about the living LORD God: "Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure". There are literally hundreds of fulfilled prophecies throughout Scripture that testify to these absolute truths. Critical scholarship in recent years is exposing more and more of the falsehoods and lies of S.I.N., (Standard Islamic Narrative), their phrase not mine, under scrutiny it is all falling apart. There is no proof of any scribes who wrote down anything the so called prophet is claimed to have said or did anywhere near his supposed lifetime as claimed. That's the reason we are told it was all "perfectly preserved" by word of mouth for centuries. Which somehow word of mouth is just fine for the followers of islam but not for any other religion, especially Judaism and Christianity. Thank the Lord we don't have to rely on word of mouth, we have the writings of those inspired via the Holy Spirit to record His proven Word, (Sam 2 22:31, Psa 18:30, Psa 119:160 and more). There's an abundance of writings, (manuscript evidences), some of which have been dated to 700BC for the Old Testament and from 65AD to 120AD for the New Testament. These manuscripts of the New Testament where written within years or decades of the life of Christ not centuries later as those of the quran and their so called prophet. We have our recorded Scripture from the correct places and time periods that have been shown to be historically accurate. Where as they can produce nothing until centuries after their supposed prophet's lifetime. Yet they claim that God's Word, the Bible, was somehow corrupted even though we can provide the evidence to prove that never happened. Our Bibles today are a very close match to extant manuscript evidences of which there are some 66,600+ from the correct times and places. The ongoing Qumran Cave discoveries that began in the late 1940's prove that it has not been altered or corrupted. In those discoveries was an almost intact Isaiah Scroll dated to the correct time period and our modern Bibles are very close to an exact match to what was written in it. Other than spelling and other minor differences that effect no doctrine or His Word in any way. There were also many other Books as related to our modern Bibles and many from the New Testament as well. They make the claim about the quran that these things happened in the 7th century AD and yet they can produce no evidence from that time period or even close, there's simply nothing. What they have is mainly from the 9th thru 15th centuries or later, which is centuries after their prophet is claimed to have lived. He is said to have died in 632AD and yet they can produce nothing from that time period. We must challenge them to provide the evidence for their faith in the same way they challenged ours as we've more than answered that challenge. We must do this to bring them to the light of truth which is something all peoples should want to know. All should want to have certainty that they do in fact have God's Word and are not being deceived by the imaginations of men. Remember that projection is the tool of liars as they try to divert people from the truth. That is why when challenged the followers of islam always divert and attack our faith as they're trained to do. If you haven't noticed they never give straight answers to our questions but are always on the attack even though those attacks have already been proven to be false many times. It takes as little as two generations for myths to become established as reality when there are no written records of what really happened. Mecca didn't exist when claimed, it was not the first city on earth where Adam and Eve are said, (as falsely claimed in the 30+ different qurans), to have come down when the LORD cast them out of Eden. Their being said to have come down is another huge issue as we know the Garden of Eden was on earth, the LORD's creation, not in heaven as they also falsely claim. Abraham nor any other true prophets ever lived in Mecca and they aren't buried there as is falsely claimed in multiple qurans. The mountains Hagar journeyed between in her search of water for her son are in Jerusalem where the Angel of the Lord spoke to her and not anywhere near the location of Mecca. If you read their different qurans you will quickly notice how they took Biblical stories and twisted them getting so many things wrong, most are not even close to being historically accurate. You will also find much of it is pulled from the Apocryphal writings that are not Scripture and never were because they contain far to many falsehoods and errors including not being written by who they claim. There are many more false claims than this in their 30+ different Qurans none of which are historically accurate as is His Word, when and where His Word overlaps with history. Mecca was not a major city or village of note as claimed at those times. It simply can't be found in any historical documents such as trade or official records of which there are many. There were many cities and villages in that time around the location of Mecca and yet there's no mention of Mecca at all in any of the records from those places. Below is more truth that may be painful to read for some but that doesn't change it. One of the most loving things we can do is speak His Truth, calling out evil as commanded by Him, (Eph 5:11). An absolute evil we see today is the false religion of Islam and all it produces, not the people they are lost and truly deceived by their teachers/leaders. It's a death cult supposedly founded in the 7th century AD, which wasn't written about until the 9th thru 11th. More than 200-600+ years separate the lifetime of the so called prophet of the early 7th century and the first written records. Islam means "submission" or "submit", willingly or by force. Based on a supposed prophet who can't even be proven to have existed as nothing claimed is accurate when checked against historical records. Many don't realize the word "alah" simply means a god that has no name, a supposed god who condones the warlike greed and lusts of the men who created it. Devout followers have no desire to assimilate into the nations they invade, it is not truly flight or immigration, but a false religions command to force all into submission, enslavement or death. Ezekiel 38:1-12 1 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, 3 And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: 4 *And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:* ---Does this sound like the description of Dan's army? 5 *Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya* with them; all of them with shield and helmet: ---What religion is prevalent in Iran (Persia), Ethiopia and Libya? 6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. ----What is the religion of the people from Southern Russia around the Black Sea (Gomer) and Turkey (Togarmah)? 7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them. 8 After many days thou shalt be visited: *in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.* 9 *Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.* 10 Thus saith the Lord God; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: 11 *And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,* 12 *To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.* ---Does this sound like it is connected to the passage from Jeremiah I posted above? Daniel 11:36-45 36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. 37 *Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.* ---If we can come to the conclusion that Gog is Dan, then who is the God of his forefathers? What are the names of his forefathers? And if we know those people are Israelites, then what does it mean when Daniel writes he will not regard the desire of women? Which women? What would they desire? Did the women of Israel desire to be the one who gave birth to the Messiah and be called blessed? Who is the Antichrist? (Answer: He who denies both Father and Son.) 38 *But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.* ---Seeing which nations accompany "Dan" in Ezekiel, and down in verse 43, what "god" do you think the Antichrist will honor? Did Abraham, Isaac and Jacob know of this "god"? 39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: *and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.* ---Who will he cause to rule over many? Who is them? Would they be the people who follow the god of fortresses (or forces, of munitions, as in the god of a military army, a god of war). 40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: *and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.* ---Does this sound like Ezekiel 38:11 above? 41 *He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown:* but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. 42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: *and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.* ---Do those two nations follow Gog in Ezekiel 38:5? 44 *But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him:* therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many. 45 *And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.* Ezekiel 39:1-5 1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: 2 *And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts,* and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: ---If Gog's kingdom is located to the north, and 5/6ths of it is destroyed, would that fulfill Daniel 11:44? What if we remember that Revelation 9 and 16 tell us there is an army of 200 million men coming from the east preparing to cross the Euphrates river heading towards Jerusalem to meet him in battle at the valley of Har Megiddo? 3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. ---What does the rider of the first horse in Revelation 6 hold in his hand as he goes out conquering and to conquer? 4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: *I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.* 5 *Thou shalt fall upon the open field:* for I have spoken it, saith the Lord God. ---Does this sound like Daniel 11:45? Ezekiel 39:17-20 17 And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord God; *Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.* 18 *Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth,* of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan. 19 *And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.* 20 *Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord God. Will the Muslims repent, or be deceived by the Antichrist?

Whenever I tell people the Quran is ordered by length of Surah, people are always baffled. Atheist, Christian, Hindu, doesn't matter. Everyone thinks its nuts.

"what has the length..." The sura are not in the chronological order 'sent down' by their moon god. Except for the first sura (probably a later addition), the rest are roughly organised by length, not chronology. For example, what number sura contains the very first 'revelation'? Cult members then have to dream up silly excuses for why such corruption of the text was permitted, and none can say who was responsible for this corruption. It is hilarious, given that cult members say the book is perfect in every way.

There is no evidence for a city of mecca at the supposed time of muhammed, or in any century before that. It is not even possible to have a city there because it lies in a desert, a long way from anywhere, and has only the most pitiful water source. No ancient city could possibly have been located in such a place. There is no archaeological evidence either. No contemporary descriptions by pilgrims, roman surveys, or merchants. It is all a fake. The 'city' of Mecca is a Western invention. Ibn Ishaq and other original authentic Muslim sources never ever describe Mecca as a city. In fact they describe its dire poverty and how the tribe of Hashim survived by Hashim distributing bread soaked in broth to his starving people. The tribes lived in mud-brick huts around a stone cube with wooden beams and a cloth on top. The Muslim sources describe how Mecca being in the desert with no trees, the men used beams from a wrecked ship to lay across the top of the crude walls and then put cloth on top. The only things they had to trade was animal skins and again it was Hashim who came up with the idea of selling animal hides to Yemen and Syria. When they say that Khadija was the wealthiest woman in Mecca, it probably means she had five camels instead of the usual one camel that most of them had. Camels were wealth. Later Muhammad had a herd of milch camels. It was so precious to him that when some tribesmen stole his camels, he had them pursued and crucified and their limbs hacked off and left to die in the desert. The myth of the 'city' of Mecca is a total invention of Western scholars, repeated continually by later lazy authors.

@@toddbeamer6131 If you read the introduction to Guillaume's translation of Ibn Ishaq's Sirat Rasul Allah, he explains how he reconstructed Ibn Ishaq's text from various sources and chains of narration starting with the recension of Ibn Hisham and then adding bits that Ibn Hisham omitted. Al-Tabari for example has passages that he claims come down from Ibn Ishaq which are identical or very similar to the same passages in Ibn Hisham's version.

When the people of Sham and Iraq united in a war to conquer Arminya and Adharbijan, Hudhaifa bin Al-Yaman met with Uthman because he was afraid of the difference in the way of reading the Qur'an between the people of Sham and the people of Iraq. Hudhaifa said to Uthman: "O leader of the Muslims! Save this country before they differ on the Book (al-Quran), as was the experience of the Jews and the Christians before." By the 7th century, written documents of all types were flourishing throughout Christendom. All Christendom understood the vital paramount necessity for the life and times of Jesus and his apostles to have been written up in the 1st century. That is, we know the new testament was written up to memorialize the entire main elements of the Christ story. No doubt many writings in the 1st century were drafted and circulated regarding the Jesus story, but lost forever. So by the 7th century it is just “inexcusable” the sloppiness, laziness, and utter disregard to get Mohammed’s verses written down and preserved safe and sound in that century. The fact that it wasn’t done, in light of the precedent from the Jesus story written down in the 7th century makes it high probable that the Quran today is just unreliable and unreliable content patched together in the 8th and 9th century, with even more revision thereafter. So, Muslims reading the Quran today, regardless which version they acquired, it just a total mess of unauthentic, unverifiable, and inaccurate “information”. The whole religion is predicted upon a Quran book which just cannot ever be verified and certified as genuine Mohammad verbiage he uttered to his followers. We also know that human nature is such that “hearsay” is unreliable because the spoken words lose accuracy after 2-3-4 or more passing from person to person. So that is the Quran today, which is just piles of hearsay passed from unknown people back and forth so that end result is just man made content, not true divine word for word divine revelation.
Anyone who takes the 114 Surahs for the Qur'an missed the point of the polemical exchanges in that Corpus. "We have given you the 7 oft repeated verses and the Glorious Torah..." Surah 15:87. Does this mean that a book with Qur'an on its cover and all the 114 Surahs were given to someone in Mecca and this includes the Surahs which were yet to be revealed in Medina? I DON'T THINK SO. So what is meant by Qur'an? I believe by Qur'an "Allah" means the Law of Moses. The Qur’an has a four-way authentication. The memorization of the Qur’anic verses must match the text written in the Qur’an for the verses, with the condition that the text must be connected to the evidence, so that the one who reads the verses has a teacher who has memorized the same verses from a teacher before him and before him, all of them documented by name, truthfulness, and trustworthiness in transmission, all the way to whoever. Memorizing the verses directly from the Prophet Muhammad, and they are known for their name, honesty, and trustworthiness, provided that more than 10 people or more whose testimony is authenticated in each generation they must authenticate all the memorization of the verses.

Dear Muslims and followers of Islamic doctrine,
Answer these findings if you can:
It's not possible for you to provide the evidence for your 30+ different qurans as we can for His Word, the Bible. Many will make the claim that we have many different translations of the Bible. They do this without understanding that in those different translations there are no changes to any point of doctrine minor or major. Those Bible translations were developed so all could understand His Word. They were created so all could understand in their native languages. In all those translations nothing of His Word is changed to alter any of it's doctrine.
His Word is as constant and unchanging as He is, (Mal 3:6, Rom 11:29 &more).
That is nothing like the 30+ different qurans that alter many points of doctrine both minor and major, some 93,000+ differences have been found to date, more are still being discovered.
(Isaiah 46:10) states about the living LORD God:
"Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure".
There are literally hundreds of fulfilled prophecies throughout Scripture that testify to these absolute truths.
Critical scholarship in recent years is exposing more and more of the falsehoods and lies of S.I.N., (Standard Islamic Narrative), their phrase not mine, under scrutiny it is all falling apart.
There is no proof of any scribes who wrote down anything the so called prophet is claimed to have said or did anywhere near his supposed lifetime as claimed.
That's the reason we are told it was all "perfectly preserved" by word of mouth for centuries.
Which somehow word of mouth is just fine for the followers of islam but not for any other religion, especially Judaism and Christianity.
Thank the Lord we don't have to rely on word of mouth, we have the writings of those inspired via the Holy Spirit to record His proven Word, (Sam 2 22:31, Psa 18:30, Psa 119:160 and more). There's an abundance of writings, (manuscript evidences), some of which have been dated to 700BC for the Old Testament and from 65AD to 120AD for the New Testament. These manuscripts of the New Testament where written within years or decades of the life of Christ not centuries later as those of the quran and their so called prophet. We have our recorded Scripture from the correct places and time periods that have been shown to be historically accurate. Where as they can produce nothing until centuries after their supposed prophet's lifetime. Yet they claim that God's Word, the Bible, was somehow corrupted even though we can provide the evidence to prove that never happened. Our Bibles today are a very close match to extant manuscript evidences of which there are some 66,600+ from the correct times and places. The ongoing Qumran Cave discoveries that began in the late 1940's prove that it has not been altered or corrupted. In those discoveries was an almost intact Isaiah Scroll dated to the correct time period and our modern Bibles are very close to an exact match to what was written in it. Other than spelling and other minor differences that effect no doctrine or His Word in any way. There were also many other Books as related to our modern Bibles and many from the New Testament as well.
They make the claim about the quran that these things happened in the 7th century AD and yet they can produce no evidence from that time period or even close, there's simply nothing. What they have is mainly from the 9th thru 15th centuries or later, which is centuries after their prophet is claimed to have lived. He is said to have died in 632AD and yet they can produce nothing from that time period. We must challenge them to provide the evidence for their faith in the same way they challenged ours as we've more than answered that challenge. We must do this to bring them to the light of truth which is something all peoples should want to know. All should want to have certainty that they do in fact have God's Word and are not being deceived by the imaginations of men.
Remember that projection is the tool of liars as they try to divert people from the truth. That is why when challenged the followers of islam always divert and attack our faith as they're trained to do. If you haven't noticed they never give straight answers to our questions but are always on the attack even though those attacks have already been proven to be false many times.
It takes as little as two generations for myths to become established as reality when there are no written records of what really happened.
Mecca didn't exist when claimed, it was not the first city on earth where Adam and Eve are said, (as falsely claimed in the 30+ different qurans), to have come down when the LORD cast them out of Eden.
Their being said to have come down is another huge issue as we know the Garden of Eden was on earth, the LORD's creation, not in heaven as they also falsely claim.
Abraham nor any other true prophets ever lived in Mecca and they aren't buried there as is falsely claimed in multiple qurans.
The mountains Hagar journeyed between in her search of water for her son are in Jerusalem where the Angel of the Lord spoke to her and not anywhere near the location of Mecca.
If you read their different qurans you will quickly notice how they took Biblical stories and twisted them getting so many things wrong, most are not even close to being historically accurate.
You will also find much of it is pulled from the Apocryphal writings that are not Scripture and never were because they contain far to many falsehoods and errors including not being written by who they claim.
There are many more false claims than this in their 30+ different Qurans none of which are historically accurate as is His Word, when and where His Word overlaps with history.
Mecca was not a major city or village of note as claimed at those times. It simply can't be found in any historical documents such as trade or official records of which there are many.
There were many cities and villages in that time around the location of Mecca and yet there's no mention of Mecca at all in any of the records from those places.
Below is more truth that may be painful to read for some but that doesn't change it.
One of the most loving things we can do is speak His Truth, calling out evil as commanded by Him, (Eph 5:11).
An absolute evil we see today is the false religion of Islam and all it produces, not the people they are lost and truly deceived by their teachers/leaders. It's a death cult supposedly founded in the 7th century AD, which wasn't written about until the 9th thru 11th. More than 200-600+ years separate the lifetime of the so called prophet of the early 7th century and the first written records. Islam means "submission" or "submit", willingly or by force. Based on a supposed prophet who can't even be proven to have existed as nothing claimed is accurate when checked against historical records. Many don't realize the word "alah" simply means a god that has no name, a supposed god who condones the warlike greed and lusts of the men who created it. Devout followers have no desire to assimilate into the nations they invade, it is not truly flight or immigration, but a false religions command to force all into submission, enslavement or death. Examples of what Islam produces are throughout history: Jihads, Invasions, 911, Oct 7, HAMAS and Islamic terrorist groups, killings of helpless captives, slave trade, training their children to kill. Using children's toys to represent all who don't adhere to Islamic doctrine, especially Jews and Christians. Look at the nations that Islam controls we have the records of the ongoing genocides. Any religion other than Islam is being all but wiped out, especially those based on the true and living LORD God of Israel, the Bible. It can't be denied that this is happening in every place they hold a majority or rule. Saying or promoting that Islam is a religion of peace is an absolute lie, one their 30+ different qurans tell them to spread until they can seize power, it's a false religion spread by the sword/force. The very idea that Islam/Muslims are a religion of peace is absurd when you read their own writings. It's a lie sweeping ours and other western nations that is parroted by the young who've never been exposed to Islamic doctrine, (even by the RCC and it's current pope though he/they should know better with his calling for unity of all religions, something islam will never allow). The vast majority of the young have no idea what they're supporting or saying, (2 Pet 2:10, 12). If they were ever to be under Islamic rule many would be killed on sight, others taxed, enslaved, tortured or worse and none of them would be enjoying the freedoms they have today.
The place is false.

The book is false.
In total it's all false, nothing more than the S.I.N. narrative a name they themselves gave to this evil false religion of the enemy.

So tell me, which Arabic version of the quran do you use and why that one? Or do you not even know that there are some 40 different versions of the Arabic quran we know of? Except for the first sura (probably a later addition), the rest are roughly organised by length, not chronology. For example, what number sura contains the very first 'revelation'? All we know about the Prophets death in 632CE is what he and his followers said afterwards as related in the authentic Muslim sources such as Ibn Ishaq's Sirat Rasul Allah. And Ibn Ishaq describes in detail the attempted poisoning of Muhammad at Khaybar and relates that Muhammad on his deathbed claimed to be feeling the effects of that poison and thus is considered to have died 'as a martyr of the faith'.

Whatever he wanted them to write is his own parting words to them. If that were written, it would be found in the books of Hadith, not Quran. The companions understood it when Umar said ""The Prophet (ﷺ) is seriously ill and you have the Qur'an; so the Book of Allah is enough for us." (you quoted above)
Quran was finished and Islam completed before the Prophet fell ill. The companions who heard this ayat understood that it meant his death is near:
Quran 5:3 This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islām as religion.

Quran 2:281 "Be mindful of the Day when you will ˹all˺ be returned to Allah, then every soul will be paid in full for what it has done, and none will be wronged."

Jay Smith at PfanderFilms (YT channel) has just finished several lectures on the history of islam. There is no evidence for a city of mecca at the supposed time of muhammed, or in any century before that. It is not even possible to have a city there because it lies in a desert, a long way from anywhere, and has only the most pitiful water source. No ancient city could possibly have been located in such a place. There is no archaeological evidence either. No contemporary descriptions by pilgrims, roman surveys, or merchants. It is all a fake. A later fabrication redacted back to the 7th century.

The 'city' of Mecca is a Western invention. Ibn Ishaq and other original authentic Muslim sources never ever describe Mecca as a city. In fact they describe its dire poverty and how the tribe of Hashim survived by Hashim distributing bread soaked in broth to his starving people. The tribes lived in mud-brick huts around a stone cube with wooden beams and a cloth on top. The Muslim sources describe how Mecca being in the desert with no trees, the men used beams from a wrecked ship to lay across the top of the crude walls and then put cloth on top. The only things they had to trade was animal skins and again it was Hashim who came up with the idea of selling animal hides to Yemen and Syria. When they say that Khadija was the wealthiest woman in Mecca, it probably means she had five camels instead of the usual one camel that most of them had. Camels were wealth. Later Muhammad had a herd of milch camels. It was so precious to him that when some tribesmen stole his camels, he had them pursued and crucified and their limbs hacked off and left to die in the desert. The myth of the 'city' of Mecca is a total invention of Western scholars, repeated continually by later lazy authors.

Al-Tabari for example has passages that he claims come down from Ibn Ishaq which are identical or very similar to the same passages in Ibn Hisham's version.

When the people of Sham and Iraq united in a war to conquer Arminya and Adharbijan, Hudhaifa bin Al-Yaman met with Uthman because he was afraid of the difference in the way of reading the Qur'an between the people of Sham and the people of Iraq. Hudhaifa said to Uthman: "O leader of the Muslims! Save this country before they differ on the Book (al-Quran), as was the experience of the Jews and the Christians before."
Therefore, Uthman sent a message to Hafsa saying: "Send us suhuf so that we can compile the materials of the Qur'an in perfect copies and return the manuscripts to you."

No one can prove what’s in that book came from a god
By the 7th century, written documents of all types were flourishing throughout Christendom. All Christendom understood the vital paramount necessity for the life and times of Jesus and his apostles to have been written up in the 1st century. That is, we know the new testament was written up to memorialize the entire main elements of the Christ story. No doubt many writings in the 1st century were drafted and circulated regarding the Jesus story, but lost forever.
So by the 7th century it is just “inexcusable” the sloppiness, laziness, and utter disregard to get Mohammed’s verses written down and preserved safe and sound in that century. The fact that it wasn’t done, in light of the precedent from the Jesus story written down in the 7th century makes it high probable that the Quran today is just unreliable and unreliable content patched together in the 8th and 9th century, with even more revision thereafter.
So, Muslims reading the Quran today, regardless which version they acquired, it just a total mess of unauthentic, unverifiable, and inaccurate “information”.
The whole religion is predicted upon a Quran book which just cannot ever be verified and certified as genuine Mohammad verbiage he uttered to his followers.
We also know that human nature is such that “hearsay” is unreliable because the spoken words lose accuracy after 2-3-4 or more passing from person to person.
So that is the Quran today, which is just piles of hearsay passed from unknown people back and forth so that end result is just man made content, not true divine word for word divine revelation.

The memorization of the Qur’anic verses must match the text written in the Qur’an for the verses, with the condition that the text must be connected to the evidence, so that the one who reads the verses has a teacher who has memorized the same verses from a teacher before him and before him, all of them documented by name, truthfulness, and trustworthiness in transmission, all the way to whoever. Memorizing the verses directly from the Prophet Muhammad, and they are known for their name, honesty, and trustworthiness, provided that more than 10 people or more whose testimony is authenticated in each generation they must authenticate all the memorization of the verses.

Notice it says, "Till we in the unity of the faith, all come to the knowledge of the Son of God."
Has the great commission been completed? No. Therefore those Priesthood given authority from God to do ordinances such as preaching, baptisms, laying on of hands, prophesying, sacrament, etc. are still needed today to bring everyone closer to God and His Messiah.
